[Ricky POV]
"You're a hottie Ricky." The man told me. Straight forward are we huh? I don't even know the mans name. "W-who are you?" I ask him leaning closer to Angelo.Angelo gives me a look of 'it's okay' before turning his attention to the man again. "I'm Chris! I'm one of Ange's friends. I'm surprised I haven't met you!" The man named Chris tells me.
"O-oh. H-hi." I say quietly, doing an awkward little wave. I was blushing hard and I knew it. "Do you guys want to take a walk with me down the beach?" He asks with a big smile.
I looked at Angelo to help me with this, there's no way I would be able to go walk for that long. "Actually Chris, um, I don't think we can. Ricky here-" I gave him an un-approving look. I hated someone else telling someone else my problems for me. I never addressed them. I'm sure you can tell I'm not normal just by the way I look.
Chris gave him a weird look, but then his face softened as he examined my features more. "Oh. Okay. I'll catch you guys later!" He says while quickly running off.
I let out a sigh as I lean on Angelo's body for support. "I feel bad..." I told him quietly. "Hey hey, it's okay Rick. I know it sucks but you'll be okay. He doesn't need to know now, but he seems to be taking a liking to you. You should tell him sometime." Angelo tells me. "And I will. But not now." I stated more firmly.
Angelo sighed as he stood up and helped me up as well. "Let's go home. Tomorrow depending how you feel, I'm hosting a beach party. So I have things to get done." Angelo tells me.
"Ange! Why didn't you tell me sooner??" I ask him getting a little annoyed. "Rick you're tired. We'll see how you feel in the morning." And with that, we started the walk back to his house.
Once we got back to the house, he helped me in comfier clothes and helped me in bed. "Night Rick, sleep well." He tells me as he kisses my forehead gently.
He walked out of the room and shut the lights off. I laid there waiting for sleep to take me in to that black void.
My eyes slowly open as I see the sun beaming through the flowing curtains. Angelo planned on a party today...damn.
I get up out of my bed and change into what I decided to wear. I chose wear some skinny jeans, and a cute plain white t-shirt. I'm glad I'm feeling good today. Hmmm...what else could I wear?
I took to my bags and saw the black corset that i loved wearing. I decided to put it on and thankfully it still fit. Just a little loose but that's alright, thankfully it doesn't restrict my breathing.
I move my cannula around so I'd be able to add some makeup on. I was told by doctors I needed it 24/7, but I try to take breaks so I feel some time of normalcy.
I added some pale foundation and smudged some black eyeshadow around my eyes. I'm not sure what got into me today, but I feel good. I decided to strike a pose in the full length mirror against the door.
I critiqued my look the best I could, I love the outfit. But did the corset look good? I have a boxy body type. Jesus...I'm getting so thin... Is my makeup okay?
I was taken out of my thoughts as the door opens in front of me, almost hitting me. "Hey- holy shit Rick..." I stared at Angelo waiting for his reaction.
I waited until he engulfed me in a tight hug. "You look beautiful Rick." He says. "Thank you Ange, I-I I'm not sure why, but I feel okay today. You think the corset looks okay?" I asked him as he let go of me.
"The corset looks more than okay Rick, it's great!" Angelo beamed. "I'm so happy you're feeling well! We're gonna partyyy!" Angelo said with a small giggle.
I rolled my eyes at him. "I still have to take it easy Ange..." I remind him. "That's fine! Now c'mon and eat some breakfast. Chris is gonna be here for the party. And we're gonna have a bonfire in the back. I think it's cool I have a beach in my backyard." Angelo says with a chuckle.
"Haha yeah." I say, as I sit at the kitchen island. Angelo hands me a plate of avocado toast and some berries. I started eating right away. I was always super thankful for the day my body worked like this, it was rare I was so happy and felt like getting pretty and actually eating.
I could tell it was affecting Angelo as well. He was sipping on his drink with a smile at me. I knew he was happy to see me doing somewhat better.
I let out a little smirk as I finished my food. "Wow Rick, I'm happy to see you're having a good day." He tells me. "Thank you, Ange. Is there anything you need help with today? I kinda want to do things since I have enough energy." I tell him, fiddling with my hands.
"Hmm, you could set up some chairs outside? The party isn't until around sundown, we could go to the store and grab some snacks." Angelo tells me. "Sure! Lemme grab my bag." I say, as I make my way to the bedroom.
I come back to see Angelo ready to leave. He helped me outside and in the car, as we started our ride to the corner store. Once we were there he helped me out of the car and into the store.
I grabbed some chips and candy to keep me going, and Angelo grabbed some beer and vegan burgers to grill. We checkout, but not without me getting stares from older men. Thankfully Angelo wrapped his arm around my waist protecting me from them, and basically telling them to F off.
Once we were done with our little shopping moment, we were back at the house. Ange helped me put the beers in the cooler, but he told me to sit down so I'd have enough energy to the party.
I sat on one of his reclining chairs outside, as he set up the other chairs and got the grill started. I was so excited for this, and I felt good! For once. I never wanted this feeling to end. I went on my phone for a little bit, and adjusted my cannula again and again. The thing got quite annoying, and sometimes it hurt. But it was okay I suppose, I mean, I needed it to breathe...
I connected my phone to Angelo's Bluetooth speaker that he had out. The poor dude that was cleaning his grill was spooked when he heard Lady Gaga start randomly playing.
He jumped and then looked over at me as I had a stupid smirk. "Damn Ricky, you haven't started drinking yet, what's gotten into you?" Angelo says with a laugh. Instead of responding I just vibed with the music. "roses are thorns they say~" I sang out.
Angelo rolled his eyes and went back to cleaning his grill. This was gonna be a good time...
