Chapter 1

ADIRA POV
I run as fast as I could I can feel the dirt under my paws, I hear howling behind me which encouraged my wolf too run faster. As I run I sensed movement right next to me I took a glimpse and seen it was my mother. Her brown wolf  running beside me

We run as fast as we can past the pack border and we heard my dad's howl for miles. My mom paused for a second and gave a slight whimper but she turned towards me and the glimpse of determination returned to her eyes and we continued to run to elsewhere.

We have been running for days and we came across a little town called Harbor Wood. I looked at my mom in wonder and she gave me a Wolfie grin and we shifted back. My mom looked at my scarred up body and threw me a shirt.

My 12 year old body has endured so much I was thinner than what I was supposed to be. I looked up at my mom and she seen the tiredness in my eyes so she carried me to our next destination. I looked around and soon sleep started consumed me. But before I entered unconsciousness I heard my mother speak.

" I hope the moon goddess helps you my child..."

Six years later****

I woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon.  I got up and got dress and walked down stairs and was treated by my mom kissing my step dad.

I gave a little tug on the mind-link to my mom and I  let out a small "yelp". She immediately jumped back and turned towards me giving me a 'you are so grounded look.' Dylon just gave a confused look at my mom. I gave a little mischievous giggle .

" Hey mom, Hi Dylon." I said innocently.

" Hey, Dira your mom was just telling me that your birthday is coming up in a few." Dylon said smiling.

I looked at my mom through my peripheral vision and seen that she was smirking. That woman told him my birthday was coming up.

"Yes it is." I said solemnly as a memory went through my mind for a second.

He didn't notice my slight change of emotions and continued on.

" Me and your mother will be taking you out tonight how does that sound?" He said happily.

I gave him a nod and he smiled back walking away.

"Mom, a memory came to me about father on my 8th birthday." I said through the link. She looked at me and came to me and gave me a tight hug.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart." She said back

We parted and I wiped a small tear that escaped. And smiles back at her reassuring that I will be fine.

" Mom I'm gonna head to school now."

" Okay, be safe Adira." She said as I was waking out the door.

I sent her a quick link telling her I will. I headed to my car and drove my way to school.

Traffic was terrible in the morning and luckily today my classes don't start till 9. As I stopped behind a car I saw too weird looking guys across walking along the border of the trees and were sniffing the air. I used my wolf eyes for a millisecond and seen their aura.

I was blessed with the ability to see people supernatural aura. Or it became a sixth sense because me and my mom were rogues now.

'Their wolves Adira. Why are they here.' said my wolf pacing in my head.

'I don't know but I'm sensing it's not good.'

Luckily traffic started moving, but as I started to drive away one of the guys whipped his head in my direction and we locked eyes for a second but I immediately turned away and continued my drive too school.
