I watch the wave as it crashes the waves in different forces. Minsan mabini ang hampas ng alon, minsan naman ay marahas na tila galit sa pampang. Ngunit ang mga along iyon ay nagbabalik saan man sila tahakin. Nagbabalik sa kaniyang nawalay na tahanan. Babalik at babalik.

"Why don't you go home, Marga?" Makky asked. "Maybe your Dad would at least be in peace"

Sinamaan ko s'ya ng tingin. "And what? Para ba mapadali din ang buhay n'ya?" I sarcastically asked. "Matagal ko ng pinutol ang koneksyon sa kanila. I'm done and I am a free soul who cannot be tamed by anyone."

Tumitig s'ya sa akin na parang hindi naniniwala. "Sure ka?"

"Oo."

"Kahit si Treyton ang magpunta dito?"

Kinuha ko ang kuyumos na papel sa lamesa at binato sa kanya. "Bakit naman s'ya pupunta dito? 'Di ko kilala 'yon. Sa bagay 'pag mga dukha talaga hindi ko kinikilala."

Makky left immediately to meet our friends ngunit hindi ako makakasama sa kanya dahil alam kong kasama nila ang pangalan na dapat hindi ko na banggitin.

I watch the wave as it crashes the waves in different forces. But maybe not all waves found their way back home to the shore or even if they would, some waves would found their shores unfamiliar, distant and cold.

For others, searching for home and being home is easy but for me... it is the hardest thing to do. At the end of the day, I am all alone. Maswerte pa nga ata ang isda sa dagat dahil may mga kasama silang kapwa isda. While I am here, travelling alone to search for my final destination, no a final home rather.

Like a siren longing for someone to accompany her in the vast mysterious ocean wishing through the Earth and sky.
