The sun is setting, the air between the two people standing right before one another feels stuffy. Although they're out in the mountains, getting a perfect view of the setting sun. The tension between them is unbearable.

"Say, why'd you ask me to come here-" Ningguang decided to break the silence, but then was cut off by Beidou, "Fuck it! Ning, hear me out." Beidou's sudden outburst surprised Ningguang slightly. Just a little bit. "I'm listening," Ningguang's voice soft and gentle. Music to Beidou's ears.

Chewing at her bottom lip, Beidou averted her gaze and her hands fidget, doubts flooding her thoughts. Ningguang tilted her head, arching a brow. "Bei-"

"Gah! Screw this," Beidou looked straight into Ningguang's eyes, filled with determination. "Ning, go out with me."

Thump,
Thump,
Thump.

Ningguang's eyes were widened, her soft cheeks colored bright red. Her heart was about to beat right out of her chest. She was still processing what had just happened. It's not often that Beidou manages to catch Ningguang so off-guarded.

The silence was killing Beidou, "So, whaddya say?"

Silence.

Finally, Ningguang nodded slowly. Beidou's face brightened up, she was filled with joy. Without thinking twice, Beidou scooped Ningguang up as if she weighed nothing. A slight squeal escaped Ningguang's mouth, she was still flustered from the sudden confession.

"Woohoo!" Beidou cheered out loudly, getting carried away, Beidou pressed a quick kiss on Ningguang's head.

"What was that?"

"Affection, m'lady."

"Disgusting.." Ningguang scoffed softly. Still carried by Beidou.

"Do it again," She murmured quietly, averting her gaze. Beidou chuckled, entertained by how adorable Ningguang is being. "Anything for you, Ning."

Beidou stared at her lover, who seems to be really enjoying the small dessert on her plate. "That looks good." Ningguang glanced up at Beidou, nodding as she agreed.

"Can I have a taste?" Beidou asked, "Why of course." Ningguang picked her plate up, about to give it to her girlfriend but then was interrupted by Beidou, standing up form her seat as she leaned closer, gently lifting Ningguang's chin up to press their lips together.

Ningguang blushed all the way up to her ears. Her cheeks were burning. Beidou pulled away, licking her lips. "You're right, it is good. Really sweet, too." She smirked, sitting back down. Ningguang buried her incredibly red face into her hands, groaning slightly. "My goodness, Beidou. Why must you be like this."

"You like it. I know you do." Beidou flashed a wink at Ningguang, enjoying the time she's spending with the person she cherishes more than any treasure.

-

"Ning."
"Mm?"
"M'lady~"
"Yes?"
"My love~"

Ningguang sighed, taking her eyes off of her work to look at her lover who was sitting across her. "Yes, Beidou?" Beidou was bored out of her mind, she had recently just gotten back from an adventure. Excited to spend time with her lover, but here she is, watching Ningguang overwork herself.. again.

"I love you." Beidou exclaimed, her eyes filled with genuine happiness and love. She was so in love with Ningguang. Although Ningguang isn't the best at expressing her feelings, Beidou knows Ningguang loves her just as much. They were practically soulmates. They may be total opposites, but they complete each other in every way possible.
