I walked down the lamp-lit street, silently admiring the glow of the moon. It was a beautiful sight, especially at such a calming time of night. I'd just been at my best friend Lydia's house but I had to leave because Jackson decided to show up unannounced. He tends to do that, just walk through the door and interrupt, but it's not like I can say anything.

I reached into my bag and felt around for a moment before successfully retrieving my phone. I dialled Scott's number and put the mobile too my ear.

Hopefully he's still awake, it's only 9:00pm, he can't be in bed right now. I thought, listening to the ringing drone on.

After a few minutes he finally picked up, immediately ranting on.

*Jules? Where are you, you were supposed to be home half an hour ago, please tell me Lydia's bringing you home!*

Oh my dearest brother, always so concerned.

*Scott I'm fine, I'll be back in five minutes tops, Jackson showed up, so I had to walk.*

*WHAT!? That son of a bitch, I'm gonna kick his ass so hard tomorrow he'll be benched for the whole-*

Okay okay, Scott is an amazing brother, but he's a little too overprotective sometimes. He should definitely beat his ass though, I fully agree.

*Okay Scotty, save that enthusiasm for the team, remember, you still have to beat me.* I giggled slightly, reminiscing about all the times I've knocked him to the ground over the summer. I mean, practice makes perfect? *Listen Scott I'm gonna leave, I'll be home in a few minutes, see you soon*

*Be careful Jules, see you.*

I ended the call and unzipped my bag, dropping my phone into it. I headed towards my street and started to increase my pace.

Come on Jules, just another couple of steps and you're there.

I tried to motivate myself as best as I could, but stopped in my tracks as I saw someone crawling along the patio roof, I think they were trying to get in.

Slowly, I crept over to my mums car, hiding behind it, attempting to blend with the shadows.

I started to rise up, watching their every move, and finally I charged. Literally charged, as fast as I could.

As I ran I felt the cold air stinging my cheeks, and then saw the front door open.

Shit!

I paused and scanned the area surrounding me, only to find my brother standing outside, a baseball bat in his hand.

"JULES WHAT THE FUCK! YOU SCARED ME!"

I stared at him, confused, he thought it was me trying to get in?

"Scott, there's someone on the roof... I saw them crawling."

He started to look around, panic spreading across his face. I joined in, swinging my head around swiftly to try and catch sight of anybody who posed as a threat.

Within the moment, and figure came falling down from the side of the roof, screaming as Scott waved his bat around like a maniac.

Stiles. It was Stiles.

"STILES! What the hell are you doing?!" Scott wasn't happy, his angry expression was enough to tell.

I was on the floor now, leaning against the wall trying to catch my breath. The shock had sent me into some form of episode.

"Neither of you were answering your phones! Why do you have a bat?!"

We glared at him intensely, quite clearly showing how pissed off we were.
