Ariana's POV

The next day I was rudely awaken from my sleep by a loud ringtone.

Whose phone is that? What the hell?

Upon opening my eyes, I realized that it was my phone that was ringing. Ross's name flashed across the screen and I answered the call with a frown on my face.

"Were you up?" He asked.

"Actually Ross, no, I wasn't." I grumbled, rubbing my eyes to chase away the sleep.

"Get ready and go downstairs."

"Get ready for what?" I grumbled.

"Just do it. And wear shorts ok?"

I rolled my eyes. "Ok."

"See you in a bit." He hung up.

What is it now? He wouldn't know if I went back to sleep right?

Ugh!

I took a quick shower and brushed my teeth, then proceeded to throw on the first thing I saw.

Following Ross' instructions, I went downstairs where I though he was. Turns out he wasn't even in the house. I found a sandwich and a note on the coffee table and the note read "Eat this and go outside to the car."

Ok I'm getting scared. What's happening right now? With a frown on my face I left the house and walked down the driveway where I saw Ross' car. There was a man standing beside it and he held a note in his hand.

"Good morning Miss. Grande, My name is Richard, I was told to give this to you." He smiled and handed the note to me. The note read "Almost there, just put the blindfold on and go with Richard."

Richard then opened the car door and handed me a blindfold. Taking it, I climbed into the back and secured the fabric around my eyes.

The car started and I leaned back in my seat with a sigh.

Is he finally going to kill me?

It wasn't long before the car stopped and Richard helped me out. I was told not to take the blindfold off and I had to let him he guide me to wherever the hell it is that I was supposed to go.

After a million curse words and trips, we finally stopped walking.

"Hey." I jumped when I heard Ross' voice at my ear. He chuckled and I felt him wrap his arms around my waist.

I felt heat rising to my cheeks because of his simple action. "Hi." I mumbled.

It annoyed me that he wouldn't let me take the stupid blindfold off because I didn't even know where we were. I couldn't even see him.

"How was your sleep?" He asked.

"It was good until you woke me up."

He laughed and I found myself smiling at the sound.

"I'm going to take your shoes off ok?"

"Ok..." I trailed off.

I felt his fingers wrap around my ankles one by one as he removed my pumps from my feet.

"Don't be scared ok?"

What? Scared of what?

I squealed loudly when I heard a whooshing sound. I grabbed onto Ross as tight as I could when I literally felt the ground beneath me moving.

"R-Ross what's going on?" My voice and my body were shaking and I felt tears welling up in my eyes. There was something warm...no-hot really close to me and I wasn't liking it.

"Are you crying? Ari no, it's fine." I felt his hands on my cheeks and he removed the blindfold.

His face came into vision and I threw myself into his arms, still shaking. He wrapped his arms around me and that's when I started to look around.

"What the-"

"Happy birthday." He mumbled.

"A hot air balloon? Oh my gosh Ross..." I stared out at the view in awe. I've always loved hot air balloons but I've never actually been in one.

"Thank you so much." I wrapped my arms tighter around his torso as a grin made its way onto my face.

"I have another surprise."

"What is it?"

"We're going to Miami with my family tomorrow."

Maybe being sold to this guy isn't the worst thing that's ever happened to me.
