Blossoming Love (MomoxAwase)

The Start

We walk around campus for about 20 minutes together. We talk the whole time and it just makes me like her even more than before. The sun starts setting and she suggests that we watch the sunset so we sit down on a little grass area next to each other and look at the sun.

"Sunsets are just so beautiful, aren't they?" Momo asks me. I was staring at her as she looked up at the sky. The orange hue of the sky complimenting her skin, making her glow.

"Yeah it really is." I turn and look up at the sky before she catches me staring at her. "Hey Momo, I want to tell you something." My voice is more serious than before and my nervousness that had been building up since I first texted her reaches its peak. It is all or nothing at this point.

.I take a deep breath as she turns to look at me. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah." I swallow, here goes, "I just think that you are the prettiest girl I have ever seen and I think you have an amazing personality and you are super smart and strong. I know it has only been a few days, but ever since you showed up at the hospital I have had a major crush on you. And then I just absolutely love talking to you and hanging out and I want to do it more." I look up, quickly, once I realize I was talking to the grass and not Momo.

She has a really soft smile on her face and it makes my heart melt. "Awase." Her voice is so soft and it sounds like an angel. It makes me feel as though my head is about to explode. "I think I like you too Awase." The butterflies in my stomach leave immediately. "I was worried at first because I thought that I only liked you because you saved me at the camp, but that isn't it. I like you and how funny you can be and how easy it is to talk to you. And you are pretty easy on the eyes. I want to hangout with you more too."

A giant smile comes to my face and I jump up. "Really!" I can't contain my excitement. "This is so amazing. The best girl in the entire school likes me back! Ahhhhhh." I look down at Momo and she is laughing. "Can I please give you a hug?"

"Yes!"

I launch myself at her and wrap my arms around her. She starts to lean back because of my contact but I hold us both up and she wraps her arms around me too. I squeeze as tight as I can with a smile on my face and my eyes closed as tight as my squeezing. The hug is the best hug I have ever had in my life. Her body against mine feels so natural and the way she squeezes me makes me so happy.

"So we are going to start dating right?" I say, boldly as I pull away from Momo.

"Hahaha. I suppose you can say that. But we can't fall behind in our studies or Hero training!"

"Oh, no way! If anything we have to push each other to become stronger!" I stand up and reach my hand down. She grabs my hand and I pull her up. I think about holding her hand but then I remember what Kendo said and I hesitate. I think for a moment then I decide to speak up.

"Hey, ummm. I know this just started and all, but I want you to say something if you are ever uncomfortable with what we are doing or if you think we are moving to fast. I want to make sure you are okay with everything and don't feel pressured by anything. I...I just want you to be happy and to go at a pace that is okay with you. Sorry, I know it kind of killed the mood, but I wanted to say it before anything happens."

Momo smiles and tilts her head. "Don't be sorry Awase. I am glad that you said something. I wasn't thinking about it too much, but it was on the back of my mind. I am so happy that you are thinking about me in that way. It shows me just how mature you are."

"Come on." I say, "Let's walk around a little bit more before we have to go back to the dorms." She looks a little sad. "Hey what's the matter?"

"Nothing. I just think that my classmates were planning on doing something with our dorms-"

"Oh umm, that's okay! I can walk you back to your dorm and then we can text each other later! I don't want to get in the way of you having fun!" I smile to try to help her feel better about ditching me right after we 'start dating.'

"Awase, you are so sweet! Thank you. And I have fun with you, you aren't getting in the way of me having fun."

"Yeah yeah. You are just saying that 'cause I like you."

"Hahah no silly. And yes afterwards I will make sure to text you."

I walk her back to her dormitory and then head over to mine, which is right next door. As soon as I get through the front doors of the building I take off sprinting upstairs to Tsuburaba's room. I burst through the door and it is empty so I rush over to Kaibara's and burst through the door again.

"Wow!" Kaibara says as both him and Tsuburaba flinch back.

"Damn chill out Awase."

"I will not chill out!" I scream out. "Me and Momo are dating and we even hugged!"

Tsuburaba stands up and grabs the sides of my arms. "NO WAY! Holy crap dude that is so awesome. How did it go?"

"Oh man, it was the best hug I have ever had before. She wanted to watch the sunset and then I told her I liked her and then she said she liked me back and then we hugged and then I asked her if we were dating and she said yes and that she would text me later tonight!" I talk pretty fastly but both of them are able to understand everything.

"Damn that is awesome!"

"I know I can't believe it! And like she hugged me when I was at the hospital but it was completely different. Today it was so nice."

"So are you planning on doing anything tonight?"

"What do you mean?" I ask Kaibara.

"Like you should sneak over to her dorm tonight to see her, I bet she would really like it."

"Oh yeah!" Tsuburaba finally lets go of my arms. "Yeah that would actually be super cool of you. And you can use my quirk like you did earlier."

Kaibara opens his mouth to ask about what happened earlier, but then he shuts it. He probably remembered that I told him about Tsuburaba using his quirk to make stairs from his balcony to the ground.

"Okay. Do you think she would like that?"

"Heck yeah man. She would love that!"

"Okay, but how do I get up to her dorm room?"

Kaibara stands up, "Bring a stick or pole or something with you and then use your quirk to weld it between balconies until you reach hers.

"Yeah that would actually be pretty cool!" Tsuburaba turns to look at Kaibara, "Haha we have to sneak out all the time. With our quirks it would be so easy and we would leave no evidence at all."

"Hell yeah!" I say, excited just thinking about sneaking over to Momo's room and sneaking out with Kaibara and Tsuburaba.

We talk for a while, scheming about stuff to do if and when we sneak out, before heading downstairs and having dinner with the rest of the class.
