Nobody's POV

"Okay children, thank you for settling down" The teacher began "Today we will be working on a brand new project that will be presented at the end of the week. This gives you a total of two days to work on this project."  She finished. 

The teacher looked around, and over to Zander, who was being basically taunted in the back by drew. she then sighed and smirked.

"Okay, I will be picking partners.." she said. 

This catching Zander's attention and making him focus on the teacher, still being taunted but not paying attention to it.

The teacher then smiled and  turned over to the board, she grabbed a purple marker and began to write the names of each pair. 

She then turned around and said,

"You may now look up at the board."

Everyone nearly got up from their seats but continued sitting down and read from afar. Groans and sighs we're heard throughout the room of students. 

Drew looked up at the board and saw his name right next to Zander's. He then looked over at the purple haired boy and rolled his eyes. He didn't want to have to sit with such a freak for hours of the night, but his grade depended on it. 

Zander's POV

I walked into the music room alone, waiting for the others to show up. I was waiting for the others to show up so we could practice and leave.

I cleaned my piano keys with a damp wipe and sighed, I couldn't stop thinking about how I had gotten partnered up with Drew of all people. I kind of just wanted this day to end so I could get it over with, but that didn't seem like a solution in this case. I expect Drew to not show up or make me do all of the work, but to be honest i don't know much about Drew besides the fact he has an annoying girlfriend and despises music.

I was lost in thought when Milly creeped up behind me and shouted "Boo!" In my ear.

This somehow caused me to actually flinch a bit, Making me glare over at her, annoyed. 

Milly laughed and put her arm on my shoulder.

"Why're you so lost in thought?" She asked

I shook my head and sighed once again, 

"It's nothing..I'm just wondering about a project i have to do after school." I replied.

Milly squinted her eyes and shrugged, walking over to her guitar.

Timeskip, after practice

I had finally arrived home, in one piece. Bethany came over to me and began poking my leg as soon as I had come through the door. 

"Can i use your piano big brother?" She asked, looking up at me.

I shook my head,

"No, you cannot use my piano.".

"Why not?!" She whined, begging for a chance on my piano.

"Because, I have a classmate coming over for a project and I don't want you disrupting our project." I answered as I walked away. 

As i entered my room i could hear her whimpering like a puppy from the living room. I rolled my eyes and set up my room for drew's arrival. 

I fixed my bed, took all of the books out, and dusted the shelves. when i finished cleaning up I picked up a picture of Luke and put it on the desk we would be working on, Its the only thing that'll keep me sane during this entire study session. 

I wanted to be ready for this approach, since i had no clue what was going too happen..I had a strange feeling about this.

Drews POV

I showed up at Zander's place and looked around, I saw the ordinary rooms and such but it was more about the furniture that has me somewhat intrigued.

There we're photos of Zander as a child with his sister and boyfriend, along with more decor that i actually liked..

Zander's house wasn't so bad,

Eventually while i was looking through Zander's house I had bumped into a little girl, she was about 7 and she looked upset.

I wasn't really good with kids but i decided to try and help anyways. 

"Uh, hey, whats wrong..?" I asked, looking down at the younger female.

She looked up at me, confused for a bit, but then she began to pout. 

"Big brother won't let me play on his piano!" She whined.

Wait..Zander has a little sister? I only knew of his older sister, that Hailey girl or whatever..But I definitely didn't know he had another one.

"Oh, Uhm, and why not?" I asked, still a little shocked. 

"He said someone was coming over so I couldn't-" She stopped mid-sentence and glared up at me, "Wait a second...You're the one taking away my piano privileges! How rude!" She finished.

She then stormed off. 

I sighed and heard a chuckle from the corner, i then looked over and saw Zander standing there. 

"Hey, are you laughing at me music freak??" I said, angrily. 

"Don't be silly.." He opened his room door and walked in, he then shouted from the room "Of course I am!".

I groaned and just walked in the room.

Timeskip, 3rd person POV

"So then, you add the sodium to prevent the-" Zander was interrupted by the sound of drew's fake snoring. 

"This is so boring! Can't we take a break?" Drew said.

Zander put his hand on drew's forehead and flicked him, causing drew to put his and on his head in pain.

"No Mr. sloth, we can't take a break. this is due in two Days and i can't even handle being in a room with you for one hour." Zander said, slamming his book down on the desk in frustration.

Drew sighed and looked at Zander, who's head was on the table being held in his arms.

"Are you..okay?" Drew asked the purple haired boy, it felt weird but he just let the words come out.

"No! First I get paired up with one of my biggest enemies for a dumb project, and then i go to practice and get annoyed to death, and afterwards I come home to my little sister nagging me about playing on my piano! and I didn't even have Luke walk home with me this time so he wasn't there to calm me down a-and-" Zander stopped talking as his voice became unsteady.

before you even knew it, Zander was crying. 

Zander looked away from Drew, he was now facing the wall.

Drew looked a bit ashamed and looked around, he sighed and gave Zander a hug to calm him down.

 In the moment, Zander hugged back. He was in need of some support no matter who it was from. 

Drew smiled a bit but not too much and let go as he has wiped some of Zander's tears. Zander sniffled and at this rate his head was on Drew's shoulder. 

"I'm sorry for getting emotional or whatever..it happens Alot.." Zander said looking away a bit. 

Drew laughed "Its okay..We all get emotional at times, its normal." He said.

Zander then lifted his head up from Drew's shoulder and the two smiled at eachother. 

"Thank you, Drew.."
