"COME ON LEILANI WERE GONNA BE LATE" Today was the first day at our new high school since we moved.

"IM COMING MOM" I grabbed my last bit of items and headed downstairs.

"Come on child I have to get you to school, your sister to school, and I have work" my mom grabbed her keys off the kitchen counter and headed outside to the car with me following along. My sister was already in the car.

"Have fun sweetie and please, try to stay out of trouble" she gave me a cheek on the kiss before I spoke.

"I promise I'll try my hardest to be good. Bye ma see you later. Bye bye miracle" I waved at my little sister and then got out of the car. I watched my mom drive away.

"Okay now I just have to find the office" I whispered to myself as I walked into the big building in front of me. I saw two pretty girls at their lockers so I decided to ask them for help.

"Hey I'm sorry to bother but do you think y'all can show me the office. I'm new here" I was kinda shy since I don't know anyone here and also because of past experiences.

"Ofcc we can. Also your very pretty" one of the girls said to me.

"Thankyou. Y'all are very pretty as well. Also my name is Leilani but you can call me lei or sky"

"Okay. My name is Aliyah and this is destiny. She's a little cranky in the mornings so if she comes off mean she's not she's just really tired"

"Ooh that's literally me in the mornings when I don't get enough sleep" we talked for a few more minutes before they took me to get my schedule. When we walked in we saw a boy with curly hair and braces siting in the chair.

"Good morning mr.Jackson. We have a new Student her name is Leilani. We came to get her schedule" as Aliyah was talking to the principal I kept seeing the boy eyeing me but I didn't think anything of it.

"Ofc. Can I get your first and last name please" the principal looked at me for an answer.

"Oh yea it's Leilani Jones" I looked at him and then went back to my phone.

"Okay here you go. Aliyah and destiny can give you a tour of the school after lunch if you'd like?"

"Yea thats fine. Come on guys we have like 5 minutes before class starts" I walked out of the office and waited for them to walk out.

"Okay I have English first. Do any of y'all have that class?" I look at the girls hoping that one of them had class with me.

"Destiny does. I have math with mike" Aliyah said. I looked confused because I didn't know who mike was.

"Ooohh right! Mike is the boy that was in the office that kept eyeing you" destiny smirked at me as Aliyah was telling me who mike was.

"Ohh. Okay well come on I don't wanna be late on my first day"

"Hey guyss! This is Leilani she's new here" destiny introduced me to their group of friends as we sat down at the lunch table.

"Leilani this is vallyk Derek and.." I already knew who she was gonna say so I just finished for her.

"Mike. That's Mike." I slightly smiled bcs this morning he was kinda being a little rude.

"Oh y'all met ?" Aliyah looked at us like a lost puppy, you know when they tilt their heads to the side.

"Something like that. I asked him to borrow a pencil in science class and he just mugged me" I took a bite of my sandwich not really paying much attention to the conversation.

"Oh. He doesn't really do good with new people." I just looked at her and then continued to eat my lunch.

"Hey uh Leilani right?" I looked up and saw Derek talking to me.

"Yea but you can call me lei or sky" I slightly smiled at him because he was being nice to me.

"Okay uh sky, do you want to come over after school? The boys will be their and you can bring the girls to" I was thinking of his offer and thought why not. I just have to ask my mom.

"Sure why not. Let me just ask my mom hold up" I pulled my phone out from my book back and called my mom.

"Okay she said I can go but I have to bring my little sister because she has to work late tonight" I gathered my trash together so that I could get ready to put it in the trash.

"Okay that's fine she can play with vallyks little brother" the bell rung once Derek finished his sentence so we got up and headed to our next class.

"Okay I'll see you guys in like an hour" I said bye to the boys and then me and the girls headed over to my house.
