Chapter One--- What Baking can do?

Willow's Point of View--

Nervously I tugged on the hem of my soft white cable knit jumper and our street had not changed at all. I stared at the warm brown fences of my best friends picturesque house. The fences were fairly fancy with lattice on top and from the cast iron gate there was a sweet little stone path leading up to a large navy blue front door that had a large gold knocker in the middle with a small peep hole as well. Along the side of the sweet path were neat boarders of flowers, it looked like one of those houses you'd see on Pinterest. Inhaling deeply I paused first at the gate and then opened it walking up the path.

Then I once again paused reaching the doorstep and the door, holding my hand poised ready to knock. My best friend Aspen would have already scented me and I exhaled my fist going down towards the wood of the door to knock but it flung open, staring down at me was a towering male figure. It was Isaac Aspen's mate, he'd filled out quite a lot in the last few months or so. He tilted his head to the left a small worried smile on his face. With jet black hair and almond shaped brown eyes, he was attractive but not my cup of tea. He'd also been one of the best friends that Aspen and I had grown up with and gone to school with. He was a panther shifter and had as a result been at the hands of lots of racism due to not only his appearance but also his shifter species.

Watching as his nostrils flared and then his eyes widened, he was just about to say something when I heard from down the hallway from the kitchen. The kitchen was the last room down the bottom of the corridor and I could see through the crack in the door was those familiar red curls, "tell her to go away that I'm not home!"

Isaac shook his head," Aspen told me to tell you that she isn't home." He chuckled at me and moved to the side pushing the door further open, my eyes scanned to the end of the corridor. The kitchen door cracked open further.

Tears welled up in my eyes and I nervously tugged the jumper down again," well if you see her tell her I could use a friend."

The kitchen door flung open and the tiny terrifying red head bounded down the corridor her eyes scanning me, "tea?"

I nodded my eyes watering slightly but I quickly dabbed them using my sleeve by pulling the jumper over the top of my hand, walking into the house and soon enough I was sat down in the kitchen at the oval round wooden table. Covering the table was a white rainbow spotted table cloth that had the most adorable pale blue pom-pom trim. Isaac had been ordered by Aspen to boil the kettle and make us tea.

Aspen eyed me suspiciously those dark green eyes glinting at me," so why are you back here then? And most of all here, you left me. You left everyone!" Tears welled up in her eyes and Isaac tensed holding the cupboard door handle," I get it your dad died and then the whole Elena thing. But you left and didn't even think to mention it to me! I'm so hurt." I moved in my chair and I grabbed the cup of steaming tea from Isaac, it was in my mug.

She had kept my mug, it was the donkey mug that we'd bought on a trip to the beach. Aspen clutched her matching sheep mug and stared at me eyeing me again almost viciously.

"I had to get out Aspen, you don't know what I had going on." Pausing to take a few sips in order to quell the tears threatening my eyes.

Narrowing her eyes at me and then I placed the mug down onto the homemade coaster that was on the table, leaning back. Twisting my back to the left and holding my stomach as I did wincing slightly at the feeling of something or someone pushing on my lower back, as I did the jumper rode up and the cotton grey vest top I had on clinging to my swelling belly.

Those eyes stopped their mental murdering and she held up a hand to her mouth almost animatedly in shock," so it is true?"

I stared down at my stomach and tugged the jumper back down to cover my belly again, nodding at her closing my eyes. "Yes," I whispered quietly," I'm going to guess he interrogated you on my whereabouts."

Suddenly she smiled at me and she got that devilish glint in her eye, but was interrupted by Isaac who was perched against the kitchen side by the kettle sipping a can of tango.

"When did you do the dirty, the bed rocking, making love, woo hoo, sex, sexy time, horizontal bed exercises...." Isaac wiggled his eyebrows.

Waving her hand, "Isaac stop chill, but seriously when did you and Dom...."

"Don't you dare speak his name! I swear he is like bloody Voldemort. You speak his name and you invoke his damned spirit." I stared down at my stomach," he just wouldn't leave me alone."

"Maybe because he cares." Isaac said and both Aspen and I glared at him.

"You have a dick and therefore no opinion, why don't you just make me a sandwich bitch." She smirked towards me," I get him following you..."

"No way following is not the point he stalked me."

"He was worried, I was worried. Like everyone was worried."

She smiled at me softly and held out her hand taking mine in hers," you do need to talk to him however."

Shaking my head and I stared at him, "I don't know what to say to him at all. I mean before my dad died he found out I was pregnant. He was going to help me out. You know? In telling him and he was actually happy. You know he admitted he'd always wanted us two to get together."

Isaac's eyes glazed over for a moment or so and I recognized that look, someone was mind-linking him.

"Well I hate to tell you but he knows you're here and is on his way."

Loudly I groaned out loud and took another sip of my tea,"of course he is."
Aspen giggled and I noticed her eyes kept drifting down to my belly, I only had a slight bump. But it was definitely noticeable, well starting to be noticeable anyway. Especially by the fact that I could only really fit into my leggings and that all of my tops were getting stretched.

"So when did you two finally move in together?" I asked just as the backdoor which was in the kitchen flung open and there he was stood. Tall brooding as ever. Did I mention absolutely fricking delicious looking?

His nostrils flared and I looked up at those amazing baby blue eyes that swirled brightly. I could see all the different hues in them mixed and circling with all of the numerous emotions in those eyes. Anger. Hurt. Regret. Affection. But most of all adoration maybe even love... But that wasn't possible.

Shaking my head and averting my gaze downwards he took two large ass strides towards me before pausing. He was stood at the end of the kitchen counter and his eyes drifted down my body.

Now in those eyes I could see carnal hunger and desire for me, the last time I'd seen that look was four months ago...

"Willow..." His eyes softened the instant he saw me as he took me in.
