Hey, guys. Just a heads up. This story contains M/M. If you don't like it, it's alright. No lemon, no mature content, etc.

With that out of the way, please enjoy.

Hey there, I'm Sean. And I'm going to tell you a story on how saving a Pokémon changed my life.

I never understood the method of catching Pokémon and forcing them to fight. In my town, pokémon are a BIG deal, and it feels like I'm the only one who's never cared about it.

It's not like I hate Pokémon or anything, I just don't care! It's also pointless to collect Pokémon too; I mean, why waste your life on Pokémon when you could be doing something productive? Like a job?!

I was in my room at my mom's house, lying on my bed. Yes, I still live with her, SHUT UP!

It was 9 o'clock in the morning, and I still haven't gotten out of bed. I knew the second I walked out that door, I would be attacked with; "What Pokémon are you going to get" or "Aren't Pokémon the best thing that has ever happened to us human beings?!"

I would get all of that from my mother. Ever since my brother left to become a successful pokémon trainer, she has been OBSESSED with pokémon like no tomorrow and is determined to make me have the same future.

But she doesn't know or care how I feel about this. I don't know what I want to do, but it's definitely not to become a pokémon trainer.

My hand was at the doorknob now. I slowly turned it to the left and slightly opened the door.

"Mom"?, I called out.

No answer, just silence. I walked out of my room and closed the door behind me. I was confused, she was usually at my door ready to shoot me questions about Pokémon. But no, the house was dead silent.

I rushed downstairs to the kitchen.

"Mom, are you he-?"

A note, written in my mom's cursive handwritting was sitting on the kitchen table. The note said that she was going out of town to meet with a friend. It also said that she didn't have time to tell me, and that she would be back in a few hours.

Well then, I guess I have the house to myself!

I turned on the TV and microwaved some popcorn. Usually when my mom was home, I would have to clean the house first. But right now, it was a good time to relax.

I turned on 'Stranger Things' on Netflix and watched, munching on my popcorn. With all the work I do, I don't have a lot of free time, so it's nice to have some time to myself.

Suddenly, little drops of rain tapped on the window,, making a soothing sound at first. But then, it went from a soothing drizzle to to a shower, the drop hitting the window like bullets. Then, a loud *RUMBLE* of thunder loomed overhead.

The TV and lights cut out, plunging the room into darkness. It was still morning though. The clouds were covering the sun, making it look like it was dark out, but at the same time it wasn't.

But why NOW?! Today was my time to RELAX, and there was absolutely NO report about this kind of weather, too.

Man, can life suck.

I looked out the window, which was now blurred by rain. I saw a blue blur, followed by a black and red one.

Wait, what?!

Low grunts and screams could be heard...followed by soft whimpering.

Someone was getting hurt.

I slammed the door open, and ran out to investigate. Ignoring the pouring rain, I ran to the scene. I gasped at what I saw.

What I saw was an Incineroar, beating the utter crap out of what appeared to be a male Lucario...

"STOP IT!", I shouted.

That didn't help, for the Incineroar picked up the the already battered Lucario and slammed him into the ground.

"STOP IT!", I yelled again.

The Incineroar stopped what it was doing and looked straight at me. It let go of the Lucario to face me.

Did I help at all? Yes, for what other reason would the Incineroar be charging at me, claws ready to tear me apart.

I closed my eyes, accepting my fate. Then, there was a blue flash, and the Incineroar fell to the ground, unconscious.

Lucario was standing next to it now, covered in scratches, bruises and even his own blood. He stood there, bruised and battered, but triumphant. He turned to look at me, opened his mouth...and collapsed.

Oooooh, things are getting interesting. Will Lucario be alright? Stay tuned!
