Alice had always been odd. She was fine with that. Everyone at school avoided her because of her so called 'Strange Imagination.' It had been a year since she saved Wonderland. She missed it there, everyone was just as cooky or even crazier than her! Maybe she should visit them. Yeah, she didn't need the white rabbit, she just needed to get lost!
The last bell sounded signaling the end of the day. Alice jumped out of her seat and darted through the hallways. She was imagining running into the beautiful forest and never stopping, running away from everything! She didn't care about all the looks she was getting as she clumsily ran to the nearest exit. She turned the corner and could see the door. Just as she was about to burst through it, her body tumbled to the ground. She looked up to see Astrid, a Viking girl who was probably one of the toughest people in school, and a huge bully. She always picked on Alice, and by that I mean she and her gang always beat her up. Astrid stood up and kicked Alice right in the stomach.
"How does that feel flower?" The tall girl snickered.
Alice simply just touched the spot where the jerks boot had just smashed her gut. Astrid waited for a reply but as usual didn't get one.
Alice giggled.
The Viking stood there dumbfounded, but then picked Alice up by the collar and shoved her into a wall and proceeded to beat her, but no matter how hard she hit or punched Alice would just laugh even harder.
Eventually Astrid decided she'd had enough of the strange behavior and threw the girl to the floor. Alice thought this was the most hilarious thing yet and roared even louder. People in the halls had already been staring and yelling, a few protesting, but most encouraging the fight. But all sounds, except for Alice's deranged amusement went silent for, their eyes were all focused on the same thing, the blade that was in Astrid's hand. She was violent, but never had she resorted to a weapon.
"Does flower have anything she wants to say before she feels what a blade plunging into her heart feels like?" The bully threatened.
Alice finically stopped laughing. "Did the thought of death finally bring you back into reality?" She screamed. "Have I finally rid you of your fantasy!" The girl was excited and insane as she made her way towards Alice. Some of the onlookers tried to intervene, coming to their senses, and realizing Astrid wasn't bluffing. Try as they might the twins, Snotlout, and Fishlegs were too strong for them. For the first time Alice spoke up.
"You think it's a fantasy, but you're wrong, you think I'm lying, I'm not. YOU THINK that I made everything up, but I DIDN'T! YOU CAN CALL ME WHAT EVER THE HELL YOU WANT, BUT I WOULD BET MY LIFE THAT WONDERLAND AND ANY MAGIC, POWERS, OR FAIRYTALES THEY SAY ARE FAKE, ARE REAL!!! So go on and kill me but I will always believe. Because I'm a true believer."
Every single person stood in shock, because Alice rarely ever spoke since she was labeled 'The Insane Person.' Astrid was the first to snap out of it, and come back to her senses. She lunged at the girl, and just as she was about to sent the knife into Alice, something grabbed Astrid from behind and threw her across the room.
It was a handsome boy about her age, who smirked at her. He reached out his hand but Alice didn't take it. She wasn't some princess who wanted to be saved by a prince, so instead she smiled and got up by herself. She then turned to look at Astrid who was still laying on the floor surrounded by the crowd.
This was her chance she could escape to Wonderland, and this time, never come back. She darted out the doors leaving the mysterious boy behind. She ran and ran and ran, she never knew she could go this fast! She stopped after what seemed like hours and caught her breath. She knew she was in shape, but wow that was impressive! Well, she was lost all right, but where was Wonderland? Ok, so maybe she needed to go deeper. So deep that if she couldn't find Wonderland she would never get out of the forest.
Off she went, Around trees, across streams, and over hills. She walked, and ran, and climbed, and skipped, all the while singing her favorite song she called 'In a World of My Own.' As she was singing she hadn't realized she was at the other side of a huge river. She thought to herself "If only I had one of those 'Eat me' things, then I could simply step over it."
Alice pondered for a minute about random possibilities. As she was thinking she didn't realize that she was getting to close to the raging river, and before she could back up she fell into the current. Instead of panicking she wondered if this would lead her to Wonderland. All she needed to do was keep her head up long enough to find where it wants her to be.
She was starting to like her plan until the rapids came. She tried swimming to the other side but the current was way too strong. It swished her in circles, then it pulled her under water. She couldn't get up, she was a good swimmer, but she was no match for this. She finally boosted herself up when her foot got caught. Oh no! She was running out of air, and couldn't see the surface, she gave up. She was going to die. She would have died earlier today too if it wasn't for that stranger. Who was he anyway?
Suddenly, her foot broke free. But by the time she realized it, it was too late she inhaled water, her head was inches from the surface, but it felt like she was 50 feet underwater. Alice saw nothing. Her body was carried away by the river. She had made through the rapids but was now unconscious.
So there floated Alice, the river calmed down after that, and it eventually joined into the ocean. Alice was still out-cold. She went over little waves for 2 days straight, and yet, hadn't woken yet.
On the 3rd day of being lost. Alice woke up. She looked around her surroundings. "Am I in Wonderland yet?" She thought. Alice saw something in the distance. It could be her friends coming to get her! She waved at the thing, that when it got closer, a ship came into view. It was big. REALLY BIG! She swam out of its path. Soon a rope dropped over the vessel. She used all her remaining strength to climb it. When she reached the top she hoisted herself over onto the boat. What she saw wasn't her friends, but a group of pirates.
"It's a girl!" One yelled.
"It be a pretty one!" Another added.
"Where am I?" She said weakly.
Suddenly all the pirates cleared a path for a handsome one who had a hook for a hand. "Welcome aboard luv." He said.
"You must be tired, here have a drink." He handed her some sort of liquid and Alice took a little sip just to be careful.""What is it?" Alice asked.
"Rum." He replied with a smile similar to that one boys.
"No thank you." The girl politely declined .
He frowned. "What business do you have in Neverland?" He asked, getting down to business.
"Neverland?" She questioned.
"Yes, don't play dumb. You have to be here for some reason. Pan had to have wanted you here if you got this far." He stated as if trying to put together a puzzle.
"Pan? Who's he?" Alice asks seriously.
"You really don't know do you?" Alice shook her head. "What's your name?" He pressed.
"Alice."
His eyes grew at the mention of her name. "This isn't good." he thought for a minute before he said "lock her up!"
Alice's expression became worried as two men grabbed her by the arms and lead her to a cell. They threw her in forcefully and locked the door. "Dang it, now I'll never get to wonder land."
She paced around the cell, "What am I going to do?" She stopped when she found something on the wall. Moving closer to the wooden carving, she found a phrase that sent a shiver down her spine. 'The beautiful savior of forgotten lands. Hero of the Lost places. She will be the one to believe when no one else does. She's the only one who is Peters match. Please save Neverland next Alice.' Alice stood there and the words echoed in her mind. 'Save Neverland next Alice.'
