Now why was he looking at this sign again for the 7th time in the past 2 weeks? Right, to order his dozen donuts. He had to thank Brulee later for this bakery shop. The owner of the shop who he liked calling, Miss (L/N) often gave him a discount since he'd been coming so often. Truthfully, he thought he was her favorite customer.

When he walked into the shop the bell chimed. He spotted (Y/N) at the counter, handing a box of what he assumed was donuts to a young woman. The shop was rather empty today, he took note as he was the only customer in the shop.

"Hey, Kata." (Y/N) said, the bright smile appearing on her face at the sight of him. He smiled behind his scarf, just as happy to see (Y/N). "Are you here for your dozen?" She asked. He nodded, watching as she turned to gather his donuts.

"They're freshly made as well, and I took them out of the oven only a few minutes ago." (Y/N) said as she placed the last donut into the box. "Anything else Kata?" She asked him. He thought for a long moment. "Do you do cakes, like birthday cakes?" He asked. He knew it was Pudding's birthday coming up in a few weeks, and Mama was looking for a decent place to make her cake.

"I know your family is really big, but we don't do big cakes like that. Ones that would feed an entire army." She laughed, trying to make sure she didn't disappoint him further. He sighed. He wasn't entirely disappointed, it was hard to find someone willing to make a cake for the family, especially as big as Mama's was.

"It's okay, Miss (L/N). I'm sure we could find another place that would make one." He turned to leave when she grabbed his wrist. "Wait, here." She slid a piece of paper to him that had numbers on it. "Give me a call if you need anything else, okay?" He smiled at her, though she wasn't able to see it. "Okay." He mumbled from behind his scarf, taking his leave.

On the way home Katakuri got a call from his older brother Perospero. Informing him that he and Mama were stopping by to talk about his future marriage proposals. He was still in his early 40's and Mama thought it was about time he'd settle down.

Upon entering his home, he put the box of donuts on the counter in his kitchen. He walked into the living room and took off his scarf. He looked in the mirror that hung on the wall. What stared back at him was a constant reminder of the monster that people had called him. He traced the scars that ran from his mouth, across his cheeks stopping by his ear. He poked the razor sharp fangs that he called teeth. They had become sharp enough to draw blood just by poking them.

A knock was heard from his front door. He picked up his scarf wrapping it around his face once again. There stood his elder brother along with his mother. "Come in." Katakuri mumbled under his breath.

"Hello, Katakuri." His mother said, whilst making herself comfortable on his couch. His brother sat next to her, a cheeky smile plastered on his face. "We may be here for a while, so why don't you get some snacks for our dear Mama, brother." Pero said. It wasn't a question, but a request, but he agreed heading over to his kitchen.

Upon entering he notices he hadn't prepared for this, the lack of snacks in his kitchen was relevant. He looked to the box of donuts on the counter. He supposed he could share them, he most likely needed a new box by tomorrow. A possible excuse he could use to be back at the bakery to see (Y/N).

He grabbed the box, returning back to his living room, placing the box on the table in front of his mother and elder sibling. His mother opened the box to reveal the different donuts that were contained in the box. Chocolate frosted, glazed as well as a few jelly filled donuts filled the box. With an assortment of other kinds.

"Don't these just look delicious! Where did you get these from?" His mother asked, seeming pleased with the snack he was able to provide. "A bakery a few blocks down." He said, "It's called "(L/N) Bakery." He clarified.

His mother took a glazed donut and bit into it. He could tell she liked it, by how she had devoured it, grabbing a chocolate frosted donut, eating that one as well. "Who made these?" Mama asked after finishing the donut.

"Her name is (F/N) (L/N). Brulee had told me that she makes good donuts, so I gave them a try." Katakuri explained. His mother looked at him, a smile formed on her face, one he didn't like. "She?" A low chuckle left his brother, he knew where this was going. "She! She could be a good addition to the family." His mother said.

"But Mama, I don't even know if (Y/N) is single." Katakuri said calmly. Mama only looked at him saying, "Find out!" She took another donut, eating it.

After a long talk with his Mama and brother about (Y/N). They finally left. He looked over at the box of donuts that had been full not too long ago. There were only 2 left. He thought about going back and getting another box, and checking out other pastries that (Y/N) served.

He thought about what Mama had said about marrying (Y/N). He did think she was pretty. Then he thought about himself. To the times he had been called a monster by his own siblings. Would she call him a monster if she saw his mouth?

He fished the piece of paper out of his pocket that she had given him earlier. He retrieved his phone to make a contact for (Y/N). After doing so he decided to text her to let her know it was him.

Kata: Hey it's me Katakuri, you gave me your number earlier, remember?

(Y/N): Hey Kata! Thanks for letting me know. Lol. If you wanna ever talk about anything just send me a text or call.

Katakuri stared at his phone screen, he wasn't ready for such a quick reply. He wondered if the bakery was still open.

Kata: Okay. Is the bakery open still? My mother came over and now I'm almost out of donuts.

Meanwhile a happy (Y/N) read the message excitedly. She was closing up but she could make time just for him. She quickly saved his number under Kata with a heart next to his name.

(Y/N): Of course Kata! I'm getting ready to close up though. I could make time for you to stop by and get another dozen. Anything else you'd like?

Katakuri stared down at his phone. Though he was already walking down the street at this point, he was glad he could get another dozen. He wasn't able to have his "me time" where he only ate desserts the whole time.

Kata: Not today. Thank you for taking the time to let me come get another dozen. It means a lot.

(Y/N): You're welcome Kata!

She sent the quick reply and went back to cleaning the counter.
