There Izuku midoriya lay. Broken and defeated. Back to the concrete that was being stained crimson my all the cuts that littered his now exposed skin.Another bullying session courtesy of non other then katsuki bakugou and his squad of minions. Or as he thought of them... his old friends. The only friends he had ever had.
Why was he bullied? Because he was born quirkless.
Being born into a superhuman society and not being superhuman himself had painted a target on his back.
Any good person would look for the positives. Being quirkless was rare so he was special!... right? Well in a world where survival of the fittest was very predominant... poor Izuku didn't stand a chance.
For years he had tried to stay strong. He would achieve his dreams his own way!
But... when for the past 10 years you've been told you were worthless and should die, that optimistic shell can falter. When at the age of five your father walks out on you and your mother because you were to much of a disappointment... a burden.... cracks of self doubt seep in and you begin to listen to what the people tell you. Or in his mother's case... lack there of.She blamed Izuku for her heartbreak and made no attempt to hide it.
.......................................................
Izuku thought about everything that had lead him to where he was now. On his last day of junior high as his piers celebrated he lay lifeless in a darkening alley.Body numb. Clothes burnt and patchy. Eyes glossy and staring at the sky as it was beginning to be pricked with stars. It must be late.
Izuku however couldn't even blame his lack of a quirk for his uselessness anymore though. Why? By chance Izuku had been caught up in a large battle involving his second favourite hero. All might.
The battle still felt fresh in the boys mind. The young boy inherited a larger burden that day. A quirk and a mission to become number one.Thinking about his new responsibility he found the courage to get up and walk to the beach he had cleaned as training just like he had been asked to.
He sat by the waves and listened to them crashing onto the sand.
" all might I don't know if I can do this"
' why not young midoriya?'
" kachan is my hero... he said he will be number one and who am I to stand in his
Way?"' look here my boy... I'm sorry to burden you with this but what is done is done and I'm counting on you. I need you to figure this out on your own, ok?'
I just looked out to the horizon.
My future had been decided for me and it was going to be a lonely road.
At least this way I have a future.
