The world was perfect. Gideon was oblivious to what his father had done. He'd used some drones to create a perfect, happy world where Gideon could live protected. After losing his son in the blip, he wasn't going to risk it again. Gideon would stay here where Quentin could ensure it was a safe, happy environment.
