*Sofia's pov*

*flash back *

im in the training center of police with all other students the coach says " listen up rookies we are going to do a sparing session and you've all been paired up beforehand. if you don't have a partner, come to me." I scan my detailed resignation papers. they don't as for anything about partner so I walk up to the front " sir? I haven't been assigned a partner."  he laughs and says " perfect. alright, stay right here sweet cheeks. " and then scream loudly " everyone! this lovely young lady here has volunteered to be my guinea pig today!"  "what? that's not what-"   he completely ignores me and continues" as we're focusing on hand to hand combat, I will be demonstrating my abilities on my partner. that's your sweet cheek." and everyone laughs. oh that was just fuel to my anger his voice is sickeningly sweet and patronizing, and I can tell that he expects to be able to beat me quickly. he is easily much bigger than me.  " firstly, square up with your partner. we'll do a simple forward punch. pay attention up here, this will show you how painful it can b."  the students turn towards Mr and the coach eagerly, not hiding their excitement about him beating me up to show off. im so done with his attitude " ready, sweet cheeks ?"  oh yeah you won't know what hit you.  as parker swings his fist at breakneck speed towards my face, I do the same move that I used on Cruz that moonlight. using his momentum as help, I latch onto his arm and flip him over my shoulder, slamming him onto the mat below with a loud thud as I do so I hear gasps from all the students shock to see this. the students gape as sir struggles for air on the mat, curling up into a ball. and I can't miss a chance to put them in place " lesson one: police are fair, and they don't pick on the seemingly weak members of the group." I look down at sir, still curled up in fetal position on the mat, and press my lips in disdain.  " anything else to teach us, sweet cheeks?"  the room is deathly silent except suddenly an echoing, repetitive sound of someone slowly clapping. the students part like the red sea as a young man that I recognize to be Captain Briggs walks up to me, still clapping " Sofia, right? Alex's told me a lot about you."  "yes sir. likewise." Captain patronizing gaze lands on sir, who scrambles to his feet. " I should hope you've learned a lesson from the young lady here today, parker. don't underestimate people."   he finally stands limping with pain and reply "y-yes sir."  "it was nice meeting you, Sofia."  "ditto, captain."

* flash back ends*

Catarina's first attack is a quick jab towards my stomach, which I quickly dodge and retaliate with a powerful roundhouse kick. Catarina swiftly ducks underneath it and sends a few punches towards my torso, which I have to block with my forearms. I can see from the corner of my eye that the guy's mouth was hanging open with shock. still, on the offensive, Catarina sends an open palm, strike directly towards the vulnerable pressure point that connects my lungs and trachea. now the amusements was not been hold back by the guy. I catch her hand and try to flip her over my back, but she twists her arm out of my grasp and flips backward, landing back in her fighting stance. she speaks " you're going to have to do better than that, Sofia."

*flash back*

the captain speaks "you've almost completed our training course and with flying colors!"  "well, I have been working at this since eight."   "ok, now don't get cocky. since you already have the experience, I want to teach you a special move in case you ever get in trouble."  "me? trouble? never!"   "he laughs "of course not. now, pay attention. this move could get you out of some very difficult situations.'  captain Briggs takes my wrist and twits it around. he uses his shoulder as a fulcrum and throws me to the ground. he kneels over me, pressing his arm against my throat. I can't move my upper body at all and tap my right foot twice, the sign to stop.  " whoa, captain! that's one hell of a move!"   "it is a good one, and it is guaranteed to get you out of a jam. don't forget."
