Xai'an waited until his mate was peacefully asleep before he had the IV tubes inserted into her arms through the thin material. She didn't so much as twitch. A few more clicks in the keypad opened up a funnel for him. Taking a clean dagger, he sliced his palm open deep so his blood would flow freely into the funnel.

The pod accepted it and channeled it into her through the IV's. He watched the fluorescent green through the clear tubes and within seconds he could see her skin starting to heal itself. The bruises on her thighs were fading and through the pods bio scan, he could see her bones slowly repairing to their proper structures.

"How is she?" Baaul asked from the recovery room frame. He was leaned up against it, arms crossed.

"Safe. That's all that matters. Her healing over their torture will not take long but ooman bodies can only handle so much. She will need to sleep through the changes." Xai'an explained as he looked back down at her through the window. He liked the way her lashes brushed her cheeks.

"The ooman facility is gone as we planned. Anak sent word that he approved of our methods. However, there is another ooman facility that seems to be the center of their data on our species. We are to wait for reinforcements and then we are to infiltrate to make sure there are no other locations. Until we are positive that every piece of Yautja information is gone, we are to remain in Earth's orbit." Baaul snarled. He was even less happy about that order than Xai'an was. Xai'an wanted nothing more than to take his mate home before Anak and keep her safe there.

"What is their estimated time of arrival?" Xai'an asked as he turned to follow Baaul back to the control room.

"If I had to guess, I'd say 24 ooman hours. How long will it take to infiltrate the ooman facilities if it is more than the one? That I could not guess. I have already started to make our way to your ship so you may take your female there." Baaul said just as they rounded the Earth's moon. He could see out of the small navigation window. There it was.

Xai'an's ship was easily three times the size of Baaul's. It was sleeker which would make for faster travel times and his cannons folded into the ship which made it harder for them to be targeted or knocked off. His ship also had a forcefield that protected against attacks.

"I need to do a few things on Earth to prepare for her. While she slumbers in your recovery pod, I shall do that." Xai'an turned to the smaller Yautja. "For this aid in my hunt for my mate, I shall honor you with any aid you need on future hunts should I be available."

Baaul's surprise was evident. It was rare for an Elite to offer aid to a less decorated hunter. Of course it was expected for the lower ranks to risk their lives to aid Elites because that was a sure way to rise your status. For Xai'an to offer his aid was a great honor even considering his blood lineage.

Baaul finally nodded and pumped his chest with his fist. "I accept your offer,  Xai'an of my clan, Enforcer of our leader Anak."

Xai'an returned the motion and turned to make his way down to the docking area. While Z slept, he would make his way back to Earth to collect her belongings. He knew oomans were sentimental about their possessions and she would be comforted to have things she was familiar with once they returned to Yautja Prime.

The difference between his ship's interior and Baaul's was a drastic difference. Where his ship was made of a golden metal that was heavy and dense, Xai'an's was a lightweight black metal that was vertically indestructible. His walls also had their language etched into the walls, the names of his brothers, their offspring, their females, etc. He stopped paying attention to them ages ago.

Before going to his control room, he stopped by his armory room. He would need to replace his dirty weapons while they decontaminated inside the cleansing unit. He waved his hand over the wall which opened the doors to his vast collection.
