A New Friend

(this is a sequel to the fanfictions I wrote entitled "My Cub", "Bad Dreams", "His First Birthday" and "Spirit of the Season" which are follow-ups to the now-deleted fanfiction "Three Brothers and a Slave")

("Three Brothers and a Slave" belongs to Crystal-Violeta on Fanfiction.Com and TMNT and its characters belong to Nickelodeon)

Leo is five years old in case you're wondering.

"Why are we here again?" asked Leo, walking into the abandoned church in the hand of his adopted father, Tiger Claw.

"Because Leonardo," said Tiger Claw, "I have a business meeting with my boss, Oroku Saki and I cannot miss it and I for one cannot leave you in the apartment alone. There's a backyard for you to play in while I'm in the meeting. I won't be long and remember what I said."

"I know daddy, best behavior, and use your manners," said Leo.

"Good."

They headed to the front of the church and Tiger Claw knocked on the door. Out came a man with a large burn mark on his face and wearing a suit of armor and a dark purple cape behind him.

"Ah, good to see you, my old friend," said Saki.

"Good to see you too Saki," said Tiger Claw, taking his paw into Saki's hand to shake it. His eyes met with the gaze of the young turtle.

"So, this is the little boy you told me about hm?" Saki asked.

"Yes, this is my son Leonardo," said Tiger Claw, "Leonardo, this is my boss Oroku Saki."

Leo smiled shyly and said, "N-Nice to meet you M-Mr. Saki."

"Polite for someone so small, isn't he?" he asked Tiger Claw.

"Yes," the tiger chuckled, "he's a very polite boy."

"Well, come in you two," said Saki, "the meeting will begin a few minutes, your son can play out in back while we start the meeting."

Leo quietly followed Tiger Claw inside the church and one of his men lead the turtle up to the backyard.

The turtle looked around the backyard. It had a large tree, a small man-made pond, and a small strawberry patch. He looked around the yard and sat down under the shade of the tree.

Suddenly, Leo felt something poke his shoulder.

He looked up.

Nothing.

Something poked him on the shoulder again.

He looked around.

A faint giggle was heard.

Leo looked up at the tree. A pair of golden eyes stared back at him.

He gasped and fell backward.

Giggles were heard again.

He looked up and a little girl around his age with jet black hair leaped down from the tree while giggling like mad.

Leo took a few steps back and observed her.

Five fingers.

Five toes.

Not three fingers, three toes, and a shell like his.

Was this what a human looked like?

He's never seen one before.
