HAYES' POV.
I'm walking to Riley's house because she lives like 3 houses down and across the street from me. *knock knock* Riley answered the door. "Oh, hey Hayes." She said, her face lit up when she saw me. "Hey, do you wanna hang out ton-" I got cut off by Abby. "Who's at the door? Oh, hey Hayes." She smiled. "Hi." I smiled back. "Never mind, you're busy." I sighed. "I'll text you. Maybe we can hang out tomorrow." She smiled, I could tell she was trying to make me feel better. "Alright." I mumbled. I started to walk away. "Hayes, wait. Do you wanna get some Taco Bell with us?" Abby asked. "Hell yeah." We all laughed and started walking to Taco Bell. We all ordered our food and there was only one table open, it had 2 seats. Me and Riley quickly sat down and Abby had nowhere to sit. "Guysssss." She whined. Riley and I couldn't help but laugh. The she pushed Riley out of her seat. "Abby!" Riley yelled. We all started laughing. "Hayes can I sit on your lap?" Riley asked. "Yeah." I smiled. We sat there and ate our food. Riley got taco sauce all over my shirt.
ABBY'S POV.
*Still at Taco Bell*
"Riley you can tell he likes you." I said to Riley while Hayes was in the bathroom. "How can you tell?" She asked. "I see the way he looks at you. It's so obvious." I said. She smiled and Hayes walked back to the table. We threw our trash away and walked back to Riley's house. "I gotta go home." I said to Riley and Hayes. "Why baeee?" Riley asked, pouting. "My brother's sick and my mom and dad are both working. But guys." I sighed. "Bye!" They both said.
RILEY'S POV.
"So I guess it's just me and you." Hayes said to me. "Yeah I guess so." I said. My mom is at work and my dad passed away when I was 5. Hayes and I went into my backyard. I have this tree in the backyard that Hayes and I always used to climb. We climbed up it and we were both sitting on a limb. The sun was going down and it was just perfect. "Hayes." I said, quietly. "Yeah?" He asked. "Listen, I like you a lot. I didn't want to say anything because if you didn't feel the same way, then things would be awkward between us." I said. "Riley, I like you too. I've actually liked you for a while now." He smiled. I smiled back. He leaned in and I put my hand on his cheek and we kissed. It was my first kiss. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked me. "Yes!" I smiled.
