"sometimes it's so hard and i just want to unmeet you." i sighed, with my back facing him. 

"is that really how you feel?" he whispered over the rain hitting the window. 

i couldnt find it in me to answer, instead i just nodded, holding back the sobs begging to explode out of me. 

"after everything we've been through, you would give it up if you had the chance? go back in time and prevent us from crossing paths?" 

my breath wavered, "yes." 

the room lit up for a second, followed by a loud growl of thunder. i jumped in shock from its intensity, turning around to gauge his reaction. instead i found myself alone. 

"parker?" i called out. there was no answer, rather it was completely silent. without a moment to lose i ripped open the door to search for my boyfriend, only to realize i was in a different house. i was no longer in my shared florida apartment, but my parents old bay house. 

"honey, are you okay?" mom asked, stepping out of her bedroom across the hall. 

"what's going on?" i questioned, rubbing the confusion from my eyes. 

"my guess is that you had a nightmare. who is this 'parker' that you were calling for?" 

"why am i in your house?" 

"baby, you live here. you go to stockton college a couple minutes from here, dont you remember? you were too scared to leave new jersey. i really wish you did go to florida though, you deserved that scholarship." 

"what?" 

"why dont i fetch you some water and you crawl back into bed. its a school night."
