CHAPTER THIRTEEN {13}

ANALI's POV
Today is Sunday and it's her day off, Sunday is always her best day of the week because she will have time to spend with her small family.
"Asiiyah please wake up it's noon already, you are there snoring like a pig, even mienah is up, get up, big for nothing", anali hit asiiyah for the hundredth time this morning.
Asiiyah grunt, she buried he head under the pillow and carry on with her sleep, anali hissed and exit the room just to come back with a bowl full of water.
She dragged the pillow from asiiyah's head and pour the whole bowl on her.
Before Asiiyah could assimilate what was going on, she was already out of the room, laughing and clutching her stomach.
"Ammi for goodness sake can you see what ya anali did, she poured a whole bowl of water on me", Asiiyah complained.
Ammi who was plaiting mienah's hair look up at asiiyah, "yes I'm aware why will you be sleeping by this time of day, it's already 12 pm", ammi replied going back to what she was doing.
Asiiyah huffed, "ammi today is Sunday and Sunday is weekend and the weekend is for resting, why can't I rest?", she asked in disbelief.
Ammi ignored her while anali stocked her tongue out while mienah giggles, Asiiyah angrily stomped back into the room making all of them to laugh.

30 mins later.
Asiiyah has calmed down and all of them are now sitting down under the tree in the compound when a voice interrupted their conversation.

"Assalamu alaykum", Fatima's cheerful voice filled the house, anali's face instantly lit up.
"Wa Alaykum Salaam", they answered in unison, Fatima smiled before she entered completely.
"Marhaban Fatima, welcome", ammi welcomed her warmly.
"Thank you ammi, it being long since I last visited so I decided to come and visit today", Fatima explained joining them on the mat they were sitting.
"I'm very glad you did Fatima, how are your mother and the rest of the family", ammi asked nicely.
"They are all fine, mamy is sending her regards",
"Masha Allah", ammi replied, before anali dragged Fatima to the room.
"I feel so good to see you, I was just thinking about you earlier", anali said hugging Fatima lightly.
Fatima laugh at anal, "same here, but today, I want you and asiiyah to escort me somewhere, if possible mienah also, but I don't know how to start asking ammi", Fatima announced.
Anali looked at her, reasoning, "where is that", she asked twisting her mouth.
Fatima shook her head, "it's a surprise, I just want you to help me convince ammi, you will see", she added.
Anali was quiet for some seconds, "asiiyah is very good at that, at convincing ammi, I think you should seek her help", she advised.
Fatima nodded before calling asiiyah, after narrating everything to her, asiiyah excitedly agreed to help, so they both leave the room to go and try convincing ammi.
Upon their arrival they stood there, looking at her as if they are on the verge of crying.
"What", ammi asked suspiciously, Fatima smile and scratch her forehead, "Ammi I want to ask you a favour, but I don't know where to start", she said smiling even wider.
Ammi laugh, "please go ahead Fatima, as long as I have the will of granting that favour then I will", she said encouraging Fatima.
"Umm... Ammi, I want to borrow your girls for today, I want us to have a girls day out today", she asked quickly closing her eyes.
Seconds of silence passed by before Fatima slowly open her eyes, she look at ammi who was neither smiling nor frowning.
"A girls day out Fatima?", she asked reluctantly, Fatima nodded, "yes ammi, I promise to take care of your girls, on my life", she said her two fingers pressed to her throat, making all of them to laugh.
Fatima smiled along, "Ammi does mean that we can go", asiiyah asked curiously, ammi was quiet for a bit before she nodded.
They jumped and did a victory dance, "but", ammi interrupted their moment, they both look at her with a scowl.
"But, there are rules", she finished.
"Please state your rules and we will make sure we abide by them", asiiyah sweet talk.
"You must come back before dark, drive safely and behave yourselves, and lastly don't talk to strangers", she stated and they nodded in agreement.
"Good, you may go", ammi said.
They turn on their heels to leave on a lousy voice stopped them, asiiyah groaned, "mienah whatttt", she shouted at her sister.
Mienah whose eyes are full of tears twist her mouth at asiiyah before looking at Fatima, "I alsho want to goooooooooo", she cried Fatima smiled before she kneels till she is mienah's height, "okay baby but ask ammi, if she agrees, then we are good to go", she finished wiping away mienah's tears.
Mienah turn to ammi and pouted, "Ammi pleashhhhh", she begged putting her hands together, ammi shook her head in disagreement, "No mienah you can't go, do you want to go and leave ammi alone, ammi will be sad", she tried to blackmail the girl.
But mienah is too smart for that, she also shook her head as she cries and stumps her feet continuously on the ground.
Ammi is not in the mood to be stern at that moment, so she just let it slide, mienah jumped up and down happily as they exit the house.
