AMELIA

"How are you liking Black. Inc so far?" Oliver asked, pursing his lips out to cool his coffee.

"It's honestly amazing. I still can't believe I'm here."

"Where are you from? I don't mean to pry but it's not everyday you meet someone with such a thick accent." He laughed.

"No, no I don't mind at all." I gave him a smile and explained. "I just moved here from London with my best friend."

"Ahh, I see. I've visited London before, it's beautiful."

"It really is. You travel?"

He nodded while taking a sip from the cup. "Yearly. One trip to somewhere I've never been before. It's relaxing."

"It sounds it. I wish I could travel more."

Oliver and I talked about a bunch of things over our coffee and we clicked fairly easy. I could tell he was a bit shy by the pink that dusted his nose every time he got embarrassed or thought he was prying. I liked Oliver. He was simple and easygoing, not to mention very charming.

"Crap." I said looking down at my phone.

I was 20 minutes late and had 4 calls from a, probably, very angry Grayson.

"Is everything alright?" Oliver asked.

"Not really," I rushed to collect my things from the table, throwing them in my purse. "We are 20 minutes late."

His eyebrows raised in shock. "We got to get back." He pulled his wallet out and I did the same.

He eyed my wallet before saying. "Hey, this is my treat, no?"

I laughed and nodded we didn't have much time to argue anyways.

GRAYSON

Six fucking calls and nothing.

I mean I acknowledge that she's normally late but not this late. If anything she's gotten better over the month at saying when she'll be late.

Almost, as if on cue, Amelia stumbled into my office looking flushed.

"Where the hell were you?" I questioned.
My tone must have came across more bitter then I intended because she raised an eyebrow.

"I was out at lunch with a friend." Amelia hesitated before taking a seat in the chair infront of my desk.

Friend?

Sophia was at her desk all lunch so it wasn't her. Funny enough, I had just spoken to Enzo's department manager about some files and Enzo was on the speaker call as well.

Who the hell did she go to lunch with?

"With who?" I spoke my thoughts.

She huffed. "Why is it any of your business?"

I got up from my seat and came next to her. Bending down to her level, since she was sitting, I whispered in her ear. "I think I deserve to know who took my girl to lunch. Don't you think?"
