Toxic

Chapter 2

It was getting closer to the time where I had to meet Draco, so I started getting ready. I changed into a vest and joggers, so people will suspect I'm going down to get some coffee and I left the Gryffindor common room and headed of towards the Slytherin common room.

After about 10 minutes of sneaking around the school, I got to the Slytherin common room and saw Draco standing outside it.

"Your late!" I checked my watch and I was in fact late, it was 11:13 pm.

"Look, I'm sorry Malfoy. It's hard trying to sneak around the school late at night! Now what do you want?" he grabbed my hand and pulled me inside the common room. I could hear a voice outside.

"You have to be a bit more quieter when you are sneaking around school, especially near the Slytherin room because Filch always patrols this area!"

"Whatever..." I turned around and sat on one of the armchairs, looking around in the pitch-black room.

"Come here" I could see Malfoys eyes in the dark, staring at me

"What?"

"I said come here!"

I walked, reluctantly, over to Draco, half expecting him to pull a prank on me.

The next thing I knew, Malfoy's lips had crashed into mine. I was speechless for a few minutes after he had pulled away. I finally spoke, "MALFOY! You know we are broken up! Why would you do this? What if I had a boyfriend?"

"Well if you did, you've got a new one now" he smirked at me and went upstairs to his room.

I stood near the fireplace and after five minutes I decided it was time to leave. I opened the door of the common room when someone whispered my name, it was Malfoy. 

"Where are you going?"

"Oh, me? I was just leaving..."

"I never told you to leave!"

He walked quickly down the stairs and grabbed my hand again. This time he opened it and put something in it, kissed my forehead and pushed me out of the common room. Without looking to see what Malfoy had put in my hand I quickly ran, silently, back to the Gryffindor common room. I was about to sit down and see what Draco had given me when I noticed I wasn't alone, someone else was sitting in the common room as well.

"I thought you told me you weren't going to run back to him!" I muttered Lumos and a light appeared at the end of my wand. From the light I had just created I could tell the person talking was Ron.

"I'm sorry Ron, but I wasn't expecting that to happen..." I quickly trailed of, feeling stupid because no one knew what happened between me and Malfoy.

"What happened?"

"Oh, nothing Ron. Look, we better go to bed because it's late..."

"No! Your not leaving until you tell me what happened!"

"Fine! If you must know, Malfoy told me to meet him in the Slytherin common room so I went"

"And?"

"He kissed me okay? Now leave me alone, I don't wanna talk about it..."

I ran up to the dorm room and jumped onto my fourposter bed, staring at the gift Malfoy gave me. I looked at it more closely and it was a small, emerald green, velvet box. I carefully opened it to see a shimmering, silver necklace, with a ring, way too big for my fingers, was attached to the plain, shimmery chain. I picked it up and examined the necklace, not knowing what to do with it since we are broken up, and put it back in the box. I threw the box carelessly into the drawer in my nightstand so I could push everything that happened tonight out of my mind...
