“Allison, who is it?” Scott asked, his expression also falling as he saw my father, Chris.

“Mommy, who’s at the door?” Dallas said, running to the hallway. “Who’s this?” She added as she saw Chris.

“No one sweetie, why don’t you go upstairs okay, I’ll be up soon.” I said.

I watched my little girl skip away and up the stairs.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I snapped as soon as Dallas was out of sight.

“I just wanted to see you and Scott, and meet my grandchild.” Dad said.

“If you think for one second, that you are going anywhere near my daughter then you are crazy!” I said through my teeth.

“Chris, I think you should leave.” Scott said.

“I think you should stay out of this.” Dad said, clearly angry.

“Don’t you talk to him like that!” I said.

“Allison, I just want to talk this through.”

“I wanted to talk 6 years ago. Now leave!” I screamed, turning around to walk away. My dad grabbing my arm stopped me.

“Get off!” I said.

“Let go of her.” Scott said at the same time, grabbing onto mine and my dad’s arms, trying to get him to let go of me.

As if all in one movement, dad threw a punch at Scott, making him fall to the floor.

“Dad! Get out! Now!” I said to my dad as I kneeled down next to Scott.

“Allison, I-“ Dad began.

“Now!”

Dad turned and left.

“Are you okay?” I asked Scott.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Are you?”

“Yeah, you need an ice pack.” I said, trying to change the subject. I helped Scott up and we walked into the kitchen.

“Allison, I’m fine, but you’re not.”

“Scott, seriously, drop it.” I said, getting the ice pack out of the freezer and handing it to him.

“Allison…” He said, putting his hand on my shoulders.

“Scott! Leave me alone!” I snapped. “I’m sorry.” I said after a few seconds.

“No, it’s okay.” Scott replied.

“Uh, can you go check on Dallas please.” I asked.

“Sure.” He said, walking towards the staircase.

When he was out of sight, I sat on the floor and burst into tears.

I was 16 when Scott and I first got together, then we broke up when I was 17. We got back together a little bit after that. Then, we broke up again after I went Werewolf hunter crazy. We got back together 2 weeks later. I got pregnant 4 months after that. When my dad found out I was pregnant, he went crazy. There was screaming and yelling, he tried to convince me to get an abortion but I didn’t want one. He kicked me out, so I moved in with Scott. We moved out 4 weeks before Dallas was born. When she was three. We moved two hours away. When she was 4, Scott and I got married. Dad never wanted to be apart of my life. He has never met Dallas. Before today, he didn’t even know what gender she was. Dad didn’t come to the wedding either.

So, I sat there, in the middle of my kitchen, crying.

“Mommy?” Said a little voice that I knew very well.

I looked up to see my beautiful little girl standing in front of me.

“Hey beautiful.” I said, trying to smile.

She walked over and sat in my lap, hugging me tightly.

“What’s wrong?” I whispered, hugging her back.

“Daddy said that you’re sad, and I don’t like it when you’re sad. When I’m sad, you and Daddy hug me and then I’m not sad anymore, so I thought I should hug you, so you wont be sad.” Dallas explained.

“Thank you baby girl.” I said, hugging her even tighter.
