My Magcon

Chapter 23

Finally.

My first time performing for Magcon.

Cameron texted me to meet him in his room to get the script.

I walked across the hall and into Cams room.

He shared with Matt and Nash.

Their room was bigger and nicer.

"Oh hey Ruby!" Matt said.

"Hi Matt. Have you seen Cam?" I asked.

"Oh yeah he's in the bathroom"

"Ok thanks." I said sitting down on his bed.

I looked at him.

"Your nervous. What don't you want me to find out?" I asked after reading him.

"I still love Hazel" he said.

"But you guys broke up a long time ago" I said.

"I know"

"Matt she loves Nash now. It's time to move on"

"I know I should, and I've tried trust me. But I can't do it. I think about her when I wake up go to sleep, I dream about her"

I was a little taken back.

"Today keep your mind open to all of the amazing girls you'll meet." I told him.

He nodded and Cam walked out.

He handed me a script for the day.

I looked it over and saw that I was opening with a song.

I read it again to be sure, I was singing I'm not the only one, by Sam Smith.

"What the helicopters is this?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Don't question child, just feel the music" he said pushing me out of the room.

"Well ok then" I said and walked back across the hall.

I opened the door to see Hayes still asleep and Shawn playing guitar.

"Where's Nikki?" I asked Shawn.

"Shower" he said not even looking up.

I walked over to Hayes and shook him.

When that didn't work I layed on top of him.

And when THAT didn't work I screamed, "HELP! HAYES HELP ME!"

He bolted up and flopped off the bed.

"Ow" he groaned.

I kneeled next to him.

"Come on Hayesie Poo. You need to start getting ready" I mocked.

He grunted and pulled me down next to him.

We layed like that for a while.

"Ok people lets go!" Nikki yelled coming out of the bathroom.

She was in a maroon crop top and black skinny jeans.

"Wait!" Hayes yelled getting up grabbing clothes and running to the bathroom.

"God. Ruby get your boyfriend in check!" Nikki joked with a smirk.

A couple seconds later Hayes ran out dressed.

"Well ok then let's go." Nikki said.

"But we have 2 hours" Hayes said looking confused.

"Nikki wants to explore!" I said moving my hands for emphasis.

"Yup. So let's go." She said.

We went out front and were flooded with fans.

We took some pictures got screamed at by crazy and jealous girls, and managed to make our way to the limo.

We only had an hour to spend so we just went to a park.

The only people there was a family so we didn't have to worry about fans.

I immediately went to the swings.

Shawn sat next to me.

"You like the swings best too?"

"Yes" I answered.

Nikki and Hayes came over and we all just swang an talked about random stuff.

After about an hour we got into the limo and drove to Magcon.

I could feel the butterflies in my stomach, and the adrenaline in my veins.

"This is it" I said to myself.

Nikki looked excited.

For her act she gets to pick someone from the audience to challenge in Minecraft.

That seemed so fun.

Jack G was hosting.

He called out Jack J and they sang Like That.

(A/N Good song.)

After them Nash and Hayes did a brother challenge.

"Now we have a special surprise. We have two new members, and one of them is coming out right now to sing a song. Come on out Ruby!" Jack G said.

The crowed cheered careful not to upset the boys.

But I could still see girls glaring at me.

The music started and people went crazy recognizing the song.

I smiled and sang.

I closed my eyes at high notes and felt happy.

Genuinely freakin happy.

I sang the last line and the crowd went ballistic.

Some girls were even crying.

Thank you I said into the mic.

The rest of Magcon was a blur.

A loud funny blur.

Now it was time for the meet and greet.

I was scared.

I didn't know how people were going to act.

Girls came and went.

Most weren't interested in Nikki and I, just the boys.

No one said anything rude since I was between Nash and Hazel.

I looked to Isabelle and saw her sitting with Taylor laughing.

I smiled.

Then when the last girl left I pulled Hayes close to me and hugged him.

We stayed like that for a while.

"I love you" he said.

"I love you too" I smiled.

And I did, I truly did.
