chapter 1

A boy was standing in his balcony, enjoying the cold breeze. When he heard his mother shout

"Arthittttt" his mom yelled

Arthit ran to his mom's room

"Mom, mom calm down, be quite" arthit said

"Arthit, he promised me, but he didn't come" his mom said crying

"Mom, he never will, he's gone" arthit said cupping his mom's face in his hands

"But why, what did I do?" His mom asked crying

"Loved him" arthit said and hugged her

"But.." His mom said

"Mom, I have a very important meeting tomorrow, so please sleep and let me sleep" arthit said

His mother laid on the bed, and arthit spread the blanket over her, he then kissed his mom's forehead and left

"He will surely come" his mother said as arthit left

Arthit sat on the window seat in his room, he didn't sleep all night because he suffered insomnia

Next morning

Arthit got up and had a shower, he then walked down to have his breakfast, it was his mom's anniversary

"Arthit, see how do I look?" His mom asked

She was wearing a beautiful blue dress

"You look gorgeous" arthit said smiling

"He will surely come today, I know" his mom said

"Mom, please try and understand he is gone, why don't you get it?" Arthit asked a little angry

"You try and understand arthit, he gave me this pendant on our first anniversary and told me to keep it safe with me" his mom said

Arthit walked to his mom, and took the chain his mother was wearing which held the pendant. Arthit placed it on a table and bought a hammer

"Arthit, please stop, please" his mom begged

Arthit broke the pendant into pieces, a tear escaped his mom's eye

"Love in the amount that you can control, not the amount that controls you" arthit said

He then left for his office, his mother began to cry silently as she looked at the pieces on the floor

"You never loved anyone arthit, that's the reason you don't understand me" his mom said wiping off her tears

At the office

Arthit reached the office, straight to his cabin

"May I come in sir?" A voice asked

"Yes Pam" arthit said as he saw her

Pam walked in and placed a paper on arthit's desk

"Sir, these are the list of people attending 'the best choice' function" Pam said

Arthit looked at the list and smiled

"No one is as good as me" arthit said

Pam gave a slight smile

"Its day after tomorrow right?" Arthit asked

"Yes sir" Pam said

"OK, you may leave" arthit said and was back on his laptop

Arthit saw an employee tip toing to his cabin

"New!" Arthit called

"Yes sir" new asked as he walked in arthit's cabin

"Where are you coming from?" Arthit asked

"From my home sir, I am really sorry sir I was stuck in the traffic" new said looking terrified

Arthit walked out of his cabin followed by new to the reception

"Prae, I need a termination and a suspension letter" arthit said

"Sure sir, whose name on the suspension letter?" Prae asked

"New thitipom, for a week" arthit said

New looked depressed by the news

"And sir whose name on termination letter?" Prae asked

"Prae" arthit said

Prea felt numb

"Sir.." That's all prae could say

"I was told that, Mr new is in his cabin from the last half an hour, and its you who told me that" arthit said and walked back to his cabin

Prae left the office as she couldn't do anything in response

Arthit was in his cabin when he got a call

"Mom, what happened, I'm busy" arthit said

"Arthit, he called me and promised me that he will come" his mom said

"What are you saying? don't dare to open the door till I come back" arthit said with concern in his voice

His mom didn't reply and cut the call

"I should leave fast" arthit said to himself

He then walked to the conference room for the meeting

"I'm Tay tawan" the man standing in the room said

"You may" arthit said as he took his seat

"We would love it, if you come along with us, and we together make a better fashion. I would like to show you some designs" tay said and started the slideshow

Arthit looked at each and every photo but was not very pleased, it finally got over. Arthit stood up

"Mr tawan, they are good but I want the best. And I would like to advise you to give a good presentation. It felt as if I was sitting in a school, watching children talking about saving trees together and making it a better world" arthit said and left the room

Everyone giggled behind and Mr tawan left in a furious mood

Arthit walked to his car

"Drive as fast as possible" arthit said and the driver drove home

Arthit took the stairs as he is phobiatic to lift. He reached the door and rung the bell, his mom opened the door

"Why are you sweating?" Arthit asked

"No..nothing" his mom replied

Arthit walked in and heard a voice

"Arthit baby, how are you?" A man asked smiling

Arthit found himself panicking, his hand fell on the bowl of marbles on the table and all the marbles fell down, he stumbled upon a marble and fell on the floor, the man moved closer to arthit, and arthit ran to his room and locked the door

"Baby this won't help" the man said from outside

"Jane please" arthit's mom said

"What yui? I'm his dad" Jane said

"Just leave Jane, I can't see him like this" yui said

"Arthit baby, I will come back" Jane said and left

"Arthit, come outside son, he is gone" yui said banging the door

"Leave me alone" arthit yelled

Helpless yui walked back to her room

Arthit sat on his bed and tears began to flow from his eyes

"He is a devil" arthit said and sat there looking horrified for the rest of the night
