William was out cold on his desk. This was nothing new. He'd always been a bit air-headed, and rarely payed attention in class, though he'd study in his own time.
William was a college student, living on campus. His major was creative literature, and he was often seen doodling or writing during class... when he wasn't sleeping, of course.
A bell chimed throughout the campus, signaling the end of the school day. William lifted his head slowly, grabbing his bag and slinging it over his right shoulder. He walked outside, immediately being confronted by a girl with fairly long blue hair.
"Hey William!" She smiled brightly. This was Remi. The two became friends on the first day of college, when she saw William playing a game on his laptop and asked to join him. "Looks like you fell asleep again."
"Man, am I that disheveled?" William tried straightening his hair with the hand not on his bag.
Remi laughed lightly. "No, I just guessed."
"You know me too well." William smiled. "So what're you doing for the rest of today?"
"I'm gonna hang out with Charlie for a bit." Ah yes, Charlie. That man is insanely smart, excelling in anything having to do with science. "You wanna come with?"
"I should probably make up for the stuff I slept through." William sighed.
"Aw, c'mon! That's always your excuse! At least be more creative." Remi fake-pouted.
William laughed. "It's already Thursday. If you're free tomorrow I don't have any major classes."
"Well it's a date!" Remi smiled. "As in, calendar date."
"I figured as much." William shook his head. "See you around." He gave a brief wave, before heading off to his dorm.
William locked his dorm's door behind him. He gave a heavy sigh, sitting down at his computer and checking the lesson logs for the day. Turns out, he didn't miss much. With that, he opened up a text file hidden deep in his PC. It was a fairly bulky file, and took a while to scroll through. He reached the bottom, clicking on where the words ended, and began typing.
William had been writing a book. Four guys, doing hero stuff. He hadn't come up with a name yet, but that's alright. Right now, he's focused on the story itself. The four characters were all easy to write, as he decided to base them off of himself. Well, parts of himself.
Empty, energetic, almost childish at points.
Socket, stern, protective of his childhood friend Empty.
Chill, outgoing, bro.
B, quiet, doesn't socialize much. When William got to his room, it was 5 PM. When he checked the time it was 10 PM. He gets lost in his work easily.
"I'll call it a day." William spoke out to the walls of his room. He took off his overwear and flopped down onto his mattress. Dream forecast tonight is sparse, with no dreams to have. With that, William slowly faded into a nice slumber.
