Horror had heard the news, like every other sans, about the codes getting jumbled. He was anxious to get out of his hell so at first he was excited. He waited, waited, and waited. But he was still here. Still starving. Still scared.
He also was disappointed in not being able to meet another him. He knows that Ink won't allow any of them to meet. Maybe the other Aus are like his. Misery and starvation. He tried to imagine a world worse than his. Maybe the human came back after running the neutral route. Is there other routes? Can the first human even come back.
I flinched hearing my brother yell for me to get up. He had been off collecting our food rations for this month. We'd be lucky to get a full human. Even more lucky to get something that we could cook. I came down stairs and saw our meagre earnings. One loaf of bread this month. How to make it last-
My thoughts were cut off as I saw my brother cutting a slice of it. I came over wondering if I could have some. He didn't offer it. Ever since the queen started handing out rations my brother has been....off. He became more violent and unintelligible. Acting on impulse he hit me away from the bread. I backed off knowing he'd not waste it again after last months mistakes. I'm on my seventh year of not eating. I'd be lucky to have a morsel. But we'd discovered after my injury, and my brother losing his mind, who ran the house. Papyrus did. He was the strongest because I gave him what little we had and my own rations as well. I was small, weak, and forgetful. My brother was tall and slightly unhinged.
I knew my brother would be busy today. Planning on how to survive the month with our rations. So I slipped on my coat to hide my cuts and frail bones and left the cold house to an even colder forest.
Snowden used to be a well kept down. Now it is a destroyed desolate place. Most keeping to themselves and begging for scraps. The forest was overgrown. Creating a wooden fortress of hidden homes. I made sure to be quiet as I snaked through the trees. I pulled up my hood to hide my skull and stepped over any crackled leaves or sticks. I had no shoes. My brother and I had eaten them last month. Which was actually not terrible because it is much easier to avoid stepping on things with the sheer pain caused by stepping on them. Pain I can remember. My bones were red and scarred on the snow. They were stinging with cold. (Nerves are in a skeletons bones, they can feel like humans)
That's when I heard something. Something you don't hear in my world. I heard talking. Not screaming, not crying, but talking. A sarcastic piercing tone of voice cut through the air.
"Stupid fucking codes. How could they let this shit happen. If I ever meet Ink I will kill him"
He stopped talking when he saw me. I stared and he stared back slightly scared. I wondered briefly why.Fells POV-
Ink had sent all the Aus a message last night. that our codes would be jumbled and some of us might wake up in another au. I was very fucking annoyed. As anyone would be!
I was praying for a nicer au. One where Boss and I could be able to just rest. I hated being isolated and on alert all the time. So this was a exciting change.
I was drifting off to sleep when I felt myself slip into a new place. Without Boss.
I woke up in the cold snow and lashed out at a few few trees in desperation and slight fear. Mostly anger.
That's when I saw him. A small and weak me.
He was wearing a coat that looked like it was four sizes too big- but what worried me was the fact he was wearing a blood covered tank-top. Not to mention the huge rusted axe that dwarfed him in size. His axe was stained with a dark liquid and laying limp in his right hand. He had a huge crack in his skull and his red eyes, were almost animal like.
"S-so...your the Sans here?" I cursed internally at my stuttering. He nodded his head as a response and walked up to me. I flinched away from him. I expected an attack, bracing myself to block an axe. He may be smaller than me but-
I felt a small skeletal hand touch my skull. He was leaning on his toes to reach it. Then I heard him chuckle.
"Wow, you look great" he said. His voice was tougher than I expected but suited him.
I blushed surprised and weirded out. No one had ever complimented me. Especially not on my looks.
I looked down at him and my smile faltered ever so slightly. He had a bruise on his undamaged eye socket.
