Chapter 3

Breaking the news

A/n: Hi! This chapter is not amazing but it is something to post! So that I pretty much fell of the face of the planet. Life has been busy for me. When I had time I tried to write this chapter get started in the next one. I wanted to finish chapter 4 before I posted this, but I haven't finished it yet😭

Your walk to school that following morning was slow. It was also very quiet unto your liking since you ended up leaving earlier than normal. Leaving Kenji and Izumi walking by themselves to school. Oops.

It felt colder than normal too. Maybe it was the lack of presence from your friends. They always tend to make the atmosphere feel warmer. A small icy breeze blew your way. You shivered and snuggled deeper into the jacket you wore trying to stay warm. It's not like it helped much anyway.

The rest of your walk to school was mindless. The route was now permanently marked on the back of your hand. There were always people bustling around by cars, bike, or foot. It never bothered you. It sometimes was entertaining to watch everyone pass by you. Things got more entertaining when a few pros walked by on their morning patrols. Every set of eyes on the street would turn in aw as they walked by. Some of the citizens would muster up the courage to walk over to them asking for pictures, autographs, handshakes, you name it.

You weren't nearly as awestruck since you saw heroes daily at school. That and your parents work with them from time to time.

I wonder which hero's I'll meet at UA? You thought to yourself. You looked down at the sidewalk and kicked a few rocks that came into view. You felt kinda empty. The last time you remember feeling like this was your doctor's appointment for your quirk.

Since you hadn't been paying attention you ran into someone.

*bump*
"Ahh- I'm so sorry I didn't mean-"

"Just watch where your going next time." The person spoke. It was gruff and laced with slight annoyance. You looked up and your eyes met sharp and piercing blue ones. It was a man. You shivered under his gaze. He was tall. He wore black pants and a hoodie. You could only see part of his face. He also wore a hood and a mask making him look intimidating.

"R-right, sorry." You stepped back and walked around him. Looking you have another apology. "Sorry again. I didn't mean to."

As you began to walk away he spoke up. "Careful when you walk with our head down," he turned around back facing you and slightly pulled down his mask, "you might run into trouble."

That sentence alone made your heart race. You didn't want to look back, afraid it might start something. You kept walking but you picked up your pace and continued to school.

You couldn't see it, but the man smirked lazily as you continued to walk away. "Found ya."

Sitting down at your desk, you sighed and laid down your head. Your heart was still racing from earlier. Thinking back on the moment made you shiver. Your everything around you went blank as his last words to you went on replay in your mind.

What was he talking about?

"Y/n!"

You jumped at the sudden voice calling your name. Your head snapped up to the voice next to you. It was Izumi and Kenji.
