the horses outside

Just across my road lies a field,

it’s peaceful and green.

That’s were the three horses live.

I’ve named them all Charley,Morley and Tottie

they look all the same.

From my bedroom window I see them all

galloping across the field.

Their manes blow in the wind and their coats

shine in the hot rise of the sun.

I sometimes walk up to their field they neigh

and come cantering towards me.

I feed them carrots and apples from my house

and they crunch them down like someone

clenching their fist.

I don’t know who they belong to but I

pretend there mine.
