Eda's parents are dead. Her life could never have gone in a worse direction. She have lived in lies, misfortune and suffering for years. Happiness never knocked on her door, and how will it? She doesn't like going out of my room, she doesn't like people, she doesn't like her own life.

So many times she wanted to take her own life, but all she came across was suffering. The suffering of people who love her, the suffering she felt in her chest because of what she did to them. She gave up, a long time ago. She gave up on everything. She doesn't live, she's just a living corpse. There is no life in her.

"I have to leave you, you don't understand", said a voice in the distance.

"No, please don't do it. I miss you, I love you.. You have to come back", Eda responded.

"I have to, it's not my choice"

Eda starts screaming and crying. Life is not what we imagine it to be. Happiness can only be found in Hollywood movies, just like love, at least that's something what she thought.

"Eda..Eda!! Wake up!"

"What?", she shouted the moment she opened her eyes.

"You are crying and screaming in your sleep again, Eda. I think you should finally go to the doctor. It's not a bad thing, he will help you".

"No, Ceren. I'm fine, it was just an ugly dream", she responded.

"I don't want to force you, I just wish you the best. But, whatever you decide, I'm here for you".

She couldn't even be happy in her dreams. Ugly things and her horrible life haunted her even there. Her reality used to be better than her dreams, so she didn't sleep at night.

Mornings in Istanbul smell like coffee, loving people and sea waves gently pounding on the shore. Only, Istanbul has always suffocated Eda. Everything reminded her of the loss of her parents, even though the years passed. She wanted to escape, but she didn't know from what, from where...

"Girls, breakfast is ready!"

"Come on Eda, get up. We will have a nice breakfast and then we'll go to surprise Melo"

"Oh I forgot about her birthday.. I'm such a bad friend, maybe I should just stay in bed"

"Stop saying nonsense and get out of that bed Eda"

Breakfast has never smelled better. It's summer. The windows of the terrace are open, and the smell of the sea and the sounds of the waves can be heard and felt even up to her house. They sit down to eat, but Eda is silent all the time. It is no longer strange to anyone, because since her parents passed away, she does not like to talk much. Although it is not foreign to them, they are worried about her.

"Girls, maybe you can go to the beach today", Ayfer said.

"I would love to, but we have a party tonight. It's Melo's birthday", Ceren said in a worried voice as she fixed her eyes on Eda.

"Oh yes, by the way where did she go last night, Eda? She never returned home", Ayfer tried to ask her anything, though she greatly knew the answer to this question.

"She went to her parents, she'll be back home tonight i think.."

"To her parents? That's weird..She hasn't spoken to them in years.Anyway, what are you planning to wear for the party tonight?", she asked curiously, but Eda was still just staring at her plate.

"Eda?", Ceren looked at her.

"I didn't plan to go actually...", Eda finally answered.

"Eda, it's your best friend's birthday..What do you mean you didn't plan to go?"
