*time skip* Saturday 3:30 pm

Sceptically, (y/n) eyed herself in the mirror, spinning around so that her white semi-sheer dress flowed in the air, revealing her bare legs. It was a calf-length dress with spaghetti straps and a low cut v-neck, decent floral patterns covering the fabric. will he like it?
She sighed, whatever, he only has eyes for Natalie either way. Indifferently, she put on a red lipstick to contrast the otherwise very neutral kept make up and searched for some summery sandals.

Just as she found them and slipped them on, the telephone rang. A piercing ringing echoed through her small flat. Quickly, (y/n) made her way over to it and answered the call.
„Hello, (y/n) (l/n) here. Wh-.", she started, but a familiar deep voice interrupted her. „(y/n)? Stay right where you are I'm picking you up."
(y/n) was just about to say something when he hung up, leaving her by herself. Sinclair is picking me up? Shouldn't he be with Nats?

He sounded a bit stressed, maybe something didn't work according to his plan. She didn't complain though. The thought of him picking her up made her heart tingle.

To finish her look, she opted for a cute straw hat and a decent yet elegant pair of earrings.

Only after about 15 min. She heard her door bell rang. Quickly, she made her way downstairs into the shop, only to find Sinclair standing there, his back turned to her because he was eyeing some of the books in the shelf. She chuckled, he was wearing a light cream colored suit paired with a brown tie and some brown dress shoes, his hair was the same as on Monday though, still the fluffy blond she remembered.

He turned around as he heard her foot steps, clearly overwhelmed with the situation. "Wow...uhm...(y/n), you..."His eyes met hers, flitted to her body and then back to the floor, his hand scratching the back of his head in a wobbly manner. (y/n) giggled slightly, leading him to compose himself a bit.

„You, You look really beautiful, (y/n).", he finally said, tilting his head and his hazel eyes meeting hers.

(y/n) felt her heart tingle at his words, trying not to let it show. „Thank you, Sinclair, you too.", she smiled, but noticed that he isn't as carefree and confident as he used to be.

„...Why did you decide to pick me up in the first place?", she asked carefully „It really wouldn't have been a a problem if I drove myself, you shouldn't have worried so much."

„I know I know, It's nothing really...", he started „come, I will tell you in the car.", he made a wave of his hand, indicating her to follow him outside the shop.
(y/n) nodded insightful and did so, locking the door behind her.

Starting the car, he continued.
„It's just, that Natalie wanted to pick up Richard at the station to escort him to our estate and she's been gone for quite a while now...I hope she's well."

„No worries, Sinclair, I bet they're already home before we arrive there.", (y/n) put a hand onto his shoulder in a comforting manner.

„I hope so.", he smiled at her as he turned into a forest path, trees lined up on the side of the road.

Eventually, they reached the estate. It was a beautiful white residence whose front was crested with large windows and an inviting front porch. Sinclair parked his car in the forecourt of the estate, right next to his beloved old timers.
He loved vintage things, books as well as cars. He didn't even drive them, It was just beautiful to look at and sometimes, they were good for a little getaway, but nothing more. It fascinated (y/n) everytime, she got to visit them.
This time, there were other cars too. Big and expensive ones, all parked neatly next to each other. probably Sinclair's relatives and friends.

They both entered the house, going straight to the winter garden where everything was already set. The others were in the kitchen, adjusting all the food they brought along.
Sinclair traced his gaze through the room, went everywhere to look for Natalie, but to no avail.

„Don't worry, Sinclair.", (y/n) said, her hand squeezing his shoulder. „You stay here and help with the food, I will go looking for her, okay?"

He just nodded and smiled weakly at her. „Thank you, (y/n). I appreciate that."

She smiled and traced his arm as she walked out of the room and back to the forecourt.
I guess I will just walk a bit down the streets, she shouldn't be that far.

(y/n) took a stroll around the blocks and along the water, she spotted many children playing and swimming on that hot summer day, but no sign from Natalie. Walking through the streets that lead to the station, she eventually reached a more crowded one again, cafes and shops lined up on the right-hand side of the streets, water on the other side.

Then, about 2 miles away from Sinclair's estate, (y/n) spotted a blond woman whose back was turned towards her, making out with a tall brown haired man. It was Natalie.
She was standing under a large tree near the water, her lips glued to the man's. disgusting.

Waves of fury overcame her, dangerously close from spilling over. What the hell does she think she is doing?! Isn't she privileged enough for being with Sinclair? And then what next? Fucking playing away?! Who is that arse in the first place?!

Angrily, (y/n) stamped towards her, grabbing her by her shoulder and wrenching her from the man that seemed a bit familiar up close.
A surprised and shocked look was all over Natalie's face, she was clearly thinking ‚shit'.

„Natalie, I hope you have a damn good explantation for this, because I'm dangerously close at punching you in the face.", (y/n) tried really hard not to yell at her too loudly because almost everyone had already turned their heads towards them by now, not wanting to attract even more attention. „Speak. now.", she demanded whisper-screaming. (y/n) took her by the wrist and dragged her to a more secluded area, leaving the man in his wake.

„(y/n)...I-...please don't tell Sinclair, I'm begging you.", Natalie started, not sure what to say. She was caught in the act after all.

„Are you serious?", (y/n) hissed, incredulous of what she just heard. „I just caught you kissing an other man and now you're begging me not to tell your fucking husband!? First, you have to explain me who this is Natalie.", she pointed towards his direction. „...and where is Richard, Shouldn't you have picked him up long ago??"

„Uhm, uh...well...how should I start.", Natalie bit her bottom lip in a shredded manner, clearly uncomfortable in that situation.
„Natalie, tell me, or I will call Sinclair right now."

„(y/n)...he is Richard.", Natalie stated, barely more than a whisper. She looked down do the ground, avoiding eye contact.

(y/n) stopped for a moment. Now, she knew why the man looked so familiar. It was Richard. Natalie has a fucking affair with her brother?! How disgusting can a person be.

"You are disgusting Natalie, you really are.", (y/n) said, more composed this time, she had no words to express anymore. She was shell-shocked. Can't this woman appreciate what she has? She has everything. Him. And she doesn't count herself lucky enough. How pathetic.

"Please, (y/n). Please don't tell Sinclair.", Natalie implored. "This was a huge mistake, I'm not gonna commit this ever again, promised."

"You don't have to promise me.", (y/n) said, wanting to end the conversation by turning on her heels. But Natalie grabbed her by her arm. "Promise me, that you don't tell Sinclair...I'll work that out myself."

(y/n) sighed and deliberated. "...Fine, Natalie...", she finally said "I give you one last chance, to tell him yourself ...and if not, you know what's up next."

Finally, she freed herself from her grasp, tears welling in her eyes. She couldn't look her in the eyes, not after what she had done to Sinclair.

Tacitly, all three of them made their way back to the estate. Nobody said a word.
