My brother is an S rank and it's kinda annoying

Chapter 1

A/N: hiii basement babes this is my first fanfic and it might not be as good as u might hope and sry if this doesn't meet your expectations any way enjoy the book... im also sorry if there are things that are incorrect i tried my best to research how things work in Korean high school😅
⚠️this book will mainly be in jin ah's pov (point of view) unless i say it's another person⚠️. i will put any notes or things u need to know in brackets and underlined

Jin ah's Pov:
Today we go back to school after the orc incident. I'm actually pretty nervous about being back in that building especially after what happened but my psychiatrist said that i have already overcome my trauma and that i should be fine. Sometimes i wonder what would have happened if jin woo didn't show up...He really is the best brother, as introverted and "cold" as he is he'll always be there for me no matter what and i'm thankful for him. He's definitely changed a lot from being my "weak" (as people used to call him) and easily injured E rank older brother to Mr "South Korea's 10th S rank big shot" i'm still getting used to reporters stopping me to ask questions about my brother which i ignore because jin woo would scold me if i answered and i wouldn't want to make him deal with new headlines on newspapers. Anyway i'm getting carried away with my thoughts again. What time is it? I checked the time on my watch and it read 7:40am "Shit school starts at 8:00 i'll be late!" I put my shoes on and run out the door after saying bye to my mom and sprint to school. I make it just in time for first period which is math. I hate math with passion. I didn't get to see song-i until 3rd period (History) though. We caught up on each other's lives and she's seems to have overcome the trauma too and i guess it must have been easier for her since she wants to be a hunter and has already been in a red gate. I'm just glad that it didn't get to her that much and that she's fine i would hate to see her in the same state i was a while ago. Anyway we talked pretty much most of the class and i barley noticed when the bell rung for 4th period (study period). I said bye to song-i and headed to the study hall. On my way there i was stopped by a group of 4 girls asking for my brother's autograph and asking me to deliver a gift for him. I politely told them that i couldn't because jin woo was rarely home because of hunter business anyway, they still asked me to try and because i was gonna be late for study hall i took their gifts and went on my way. One thing i hated about my brother's "rise to fame" is the fact that most kids at school treat me differently because of the fact that he's my brother. I wasn't really all that popular before my brother was re-evaluated as an S rank. I mean i have slightly above average looks, good grades and i don't have that many friends so i wasn't popular but after my brother's re-evaluation was confirmed by the Hunters Association everyone wanted to be my friend and it's gotten even worse now that he's become a "one man guild" and saved us from the orcs. I'm pretty sure some girls even started a "secret" fan club about him. The worst part is that at lunch i got a message from jin woo saying he was gonna be picking me up from school because my mom had to run some errands. Great just great i'll have even more attention drawn to me. I told song-i that my brother was going to be picking me up and someone must have overheard us because by the time 6th period rilled around a group of students ran up to me asking if it was true that my brother was coming to pick me up. I looked at song-i and she looked back at me shaking her head. I sighed and responded "Yes my brother is going to pick me up today" There was a lot of happy gasps and whispers most of the girls were talking about seeing my brother in person rather than in news articles and the boys were talking about how strong my brother might be as an S rank and about how they could work out get as strong as him. The news spread like wildfire even the teachers knew about it before 8th period even started ( last class of the day). Even my physics teacher asked if it was true and when i told her yes she gasped and ran off probably to go tell the other female members of staff. I roll my eyes as she scurried away. Eventually the moment everyone has been waiting for arrives. My brother calls to tell me he's coming into the school yard to get me because he's overprotective like that. Of course someone overhears my phone call and the news spreads faster than wildfire and soon enough everyone is squeezing out of the doors to go and see my brother. I walk out of the entrance with song-i next to me and see my brother being mobbed at the school gates looking exasperated by the attention. He just walks straight through them and over to me of course the students follow him. He looks down at me as says "Jin ah are u ready i have to go somewhere after this" I just nod and then he notices song-i next to me and says " Oh hi song-i do u need a ride too it's quite late" She smiles and responds " Oh, sure thx" He tells us to hurry and walk back towards the exit and we follow close behind him. Some students ask for an autograph and assuming that he wants to be nice to kids he obliges and signs their books/papers etc.. Once we Finally make it to the exit and into the car we drive off. Song-i and i talked the whole way to her house and then we dripped her off and said bye. The rest of the car ride was just me and jin woo casually talking and when we arrived home I got out of the car and was about to enter the building until jin woo called me back. He pulled out a fat and i mean FAT wad of cash and told me to give it to mom. I asked him what it was for and where he got that much money. He looked at me and said "1. it's for rent and 2. i'm an S rank" with that he closed the car window and drove off. I entered our apartment and was greeted by my mom and the lovely smell of dinner. I gave her the money and went to my room to change and do my homework after that i texted song - i for a bit and went straight to sleep. Today was and okay day apart from the while being mobbed thing. I wonder how tomorrow will be.
