Chapter 2

Fern's POV

Something big was going to happen today at the pack meeting, I could feel it. It would impact me or Blue.

Thinking of Blue I raced down the stairs getting excited. I loved pack meetings, I adored listening to the history of the Moonshine pack.

"Lets get going then!" I beamed, she smiled back at me pulling on her knee length converse and her black beanie. I rolled my eyes at her, grinning. She always wore those two items of clothing whenever she went outside apart from when she shifts obviously.

"Sure, I think there is a new shifter that has come to town, and they are our age so lets go meet them!" She squealed. As quiet as she normally was, Blue did like meeting new people

"Then lets go peeps!" I exclaimed, slinging my bag over my shoulder and grinning at her. She returned a grin and stepped out into the crisp, autumn air.

"Quick! Into my car!" She ordered dramatically, I sighed, obeying her instantly. Blue had a hearse, it was converted to a normal car with a long bench on either side in the back seats but it still creeped me out and I detested that vehicle.

"What's wrong?" I asked Blue as she looked at her phone and frowned.

"It's nothing." She replied quickly, shaking her head.

"Your telling me later,"

"I know," she sighed, and began to drive to the pack house that was owned by the alpha.

"Oh, good, your early!" Shrilled Heath impatiently, I scowled at him.

"Yeah, let's get this show on the road!" Blue replied, suddenly excited to meet the newest member of the pack.

Blue's POV

I stepped into the pack house smiling to myself, I wanted to meet this new pack member. Curiosity overcame me as I heard new voice, they were a boy. Quickly I walked into the room and an overpowering scent filled my nostrils I looked from side to side. Some of the older pack members gave me knowing looks but I just frowned, confused. Then Marcie walked in, with Drake.

Marcie Froze

"Uh... Hi Blue." She stated awkwardly, glancing around. Drake had his arm wrapped around her waist, then I realised, him and Marcie were mates.

I was lost for words, I blinked, quite a lot and stared at her, when was she going to tell me? You know your mate as soon as you lay eyes on them. She wasn't going to tell me. Anger boiled up inside me and I glared at her, not out of jealousy, but out of distrust. And with that I flounced away from her, towards the new member. He was gorgeous. Shiny, black hair, forest green eyes that sparkled when the light would play on them. I was mesmerised by this boy.

"Hi," he said breathlessly.

"Uhh...hi," I replied, smiling at him.

"I'm Mitch!" He told me "what's your name?" He asked me.

"Blue." I replied, looking down, blushing. The overpowering scent was coming from Mitch, I'm sure of it, but what did it mean?

Mitch's POV

I stared at Blue, I had only known her for about 1 minute, but I already felt like I knew her, and felt something for her. Blue, was beautiful. With her golden locks, blue eyes and pale skin. I just stood there, watching her as she blushed.i have a hunch that this girl is my... Mate!

"Now everyone, lets get down to business!" Exclaimed the alpha, "as some of you may know, this is Mitch Nouten, he is the newest member of the Moonshine pack!" I stood up, smiling at blue in the process.

"Hiya guys!" I said enthusiastically, grinning. Then I sat down again, next to Blue. She smiled at me, a genuine smile, not one of those fake smiles that I get all the time. I scooted slightly closes to her and looked up at the alpha. Today was definitely eventful, I met my mate and I'm sure that I love her already.
