Chapter 2

The pier was so packed. It was a hot summer afternoon so there really was no question about it. We decided to just walk around and check out the local shops, restaurants, and even clubs/lounges. "Okay we're definetly gonna come back down here at 'Spice' tonight, I'm so ready to go clubbing already!" Jamie laughed.

"Totally, but damn there's so many places to just hang out here. I'm reaaallly liking it," I agreed as we were walking. "Same but I'm so hungry and the food on the airplane was fucking disgusting, let's grab something to eat" Megan said. We all agreed and decided to sit down at a burger place.

The restaurant was filled with teenagers and a few mothers with their children, dressed in bathing suits most likely coming from the beach. We sat down and to our right there was a booth with 3 guys. Two of the boys resembled each other in a way, and the other had extremely big arms which is very hot. One of them had long dirty blonde hair that curled toward his face at the end and the biggest smile was on his face.

I couldn't take my eyes off of him, he's just so cute. Megan and Jamie noticed the direction I was staring at and both turned around, taking in exactly what I was seeing. "Holy shit... those guys are so hot" Megan said while she peered over. Jamie nodded, "Do you see the size of that guys arms? Oh my god" By this point I stopped looking at them, I probably seemed so creepy.

"Guys they're really cute but don't just sit there starring, we look like creeps!" I laughed. We were interrupted by a waitress with a sleek blonde ponytail, an impatient look on her face. Her forehead was sprinkled with sweat and she was very tan. "Hey what can I get for you girls?" she asked in a friendly tone that seemed pretty forced.

I skimmed down the menu and decided to go with something simple. "I'll have a cheeseburger, hold the lettuce and extra tomatoes please. One diet coke also." I handed my menu to her as Megan and Jamie gave their orders to her.

The waitress took their menus and swiftly walked away in a hurry. "I'll be right back, I have to go to the bathroom, I haven't gone since we woke up this morning and I feel like I'm ready to burst," "Okay have fun Adriana," Megan joked. I grabbed my purse and scootched my way out of the booth. I turned heading to the bathroom and suddenly a huge heavy force was hit against my chest and a few loud gasps were heard.

The next thing I knew was I slammed into one of the waitresses, 2 drinks flying behind her and her tripping falling onto her butt. I fell over as well, landing in an awkward position with my legs in front of me and my arms behind me. What happened quickly sunk into me, noticing the turning heads and the sudden silence that formed in the chaotic restaurant. I felt my face get hot and I knew I was blushing. To make it worse, I was sitting right in front of the table that held the hot guys we were starring at earlier.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you as I was turning," I said in an uneven tone, slowly picking myself up. The waitress huffed out some air and slowly gathered her things, getting up from the cold sticky ground. "Yeah, yeah it's fine. I was walking too fast anyway." she gave me a grouchy look and we were interrupted with one of the boys.

"Wow way to go Brooke, already bumping into a pretty costumer on your first day of work." the boy laughed, helping the waitress clean up. "Oh shut the hell up Wesley, you try and find a way to flirt with a girl in any way possible," she said as she finished up gathering her things.

I felt a little awkward just standing in between them and I looked over my shoulder, seeing Meg and Jamie smiling and going crazy in their seats giving me the thumbs up. He just laughed at the waitress, and I figured they obviously knew eachother by the way they were speaking. I was just about to walk around them when the boy smiled at me and grabbed me by the hand. "Hey, excuse my sister she's so clumsy and stupid," he joked, "But I'm Wesley" He gave my hand a light polite shake, causing shivers go down my spine. His hand was so warm and comforting in a way.

"Hi Welsey, I'm Adriana. And no it's all my fault that your sister fell I didn't see where I was going," I said slowly. 'Brooke' was nowhere to be seen by now so it was just me and Wesley standing next to his table talking. "Yeah well just forget about it, it's all good. Anyways I see you have friends here with you too?" he said motioning toward my table, smiling at Megan and Jamie.

"Erm.. uh yeah, we decided we'd check out the place considering the fact that we're visiting so we decided to go out and eat," I said unsurely. I didn't really know where this conversation was going and I felt a little awkward. I noticed Wesley's two friends were staring up at me smiling and whispering something I couldn't make out to eachother, I felt my cheeks go red. "Where are you from?" He asked, slowly making his way to my table and I just followed along, not knowing where this was heading.

"Florida. Me and my two friends, Megan and Jamie came down as a birthday present and my dad rented out a house here for us," I explained. "Wow that's pretty sweet, you're really lucky," He said. He greeted himself to my two friends and I could tell by Megan's face she was absolutely dying inside. Wesley sat at the table and soon enough he was engaged in conversation with Megan, asking how long we were staying for and what we were planning to do. Wesley called over his two friends and they slowly made their way over.

The two boys were Keaton and Drew, and Keaton was seriously adorable. He was very quirky and awkward in a cute way, and Drew seemed more confident. "Hey maybe tonight we can all hang out or something? Unless you guys have something planned" Drew said turning towards me. I looked over at Megan and Jamie and they both gave me looks telling me to say yes. "Yeah sure, we don't really have anything planned. We just wanted to go check out one of the clubs down on the pier." I saw Drew and Wesley exchange a few looks and suddenly they were both grinning at eachother.

"How about we all go together? Here, just text me and let me know if you girls are down and we'll take it from there." Wesley wrote his number on a napkin and handed it to me. I thanked him and noticed that Keaton was staring at me. He wasn't saying much to anyone which I don't know why, but I found it cute in a weird way.

"Okay well we'll see ya around Adriana, bye Megan, bye Jamie," Wesley said getting up from the booth. "Nice meeting you, Adriana," Keaton smiled at me, making butterflies set off in my stomach. "Nice meeting you guys too, bye," I smiled and before we knew it they were walking out the door.

The second they were out of sight, Megan was of course the first to speak,"Holy shit! They're so hot!" she squealed. "That guy Keaton looked so into you Adriana, and Drew was checking you out Jamie!" Megan was so excited, she always got like this when it came to boys. I thought about this for a second,"You think so? He's so cute oh my god," I said finally digging into my burger.

"Okay they all are, they're your typical Cali boys which is sexy as fuck," Jamie said dipping a fry into some ketchup. I agreed, nodding my head with a mouth full of food. "We're definitley gonna hang out with them so you better text him," Megan told me looking so excited. "Do you think I'm stupid? Of course I'm gonna text him!" I laughed. We finished up eating and decided to head home and get ready for tonight, whatever that was gonna consist of...
