If James is ever touched by another kumu, he will explode. The reason why he'll explode if someone touches him is because he accidentally got too close to Blazey and a flame ignited onto his fuse, causing him to explode. That's also why he has a cut on his cheek. James can also explode by himself, but it takes a lot of pressure. James' voice is also high pitched because his voice never grew as a mini kumu. Anyways, James is a very nice kumu but worries a bit too much.
