Axel and I thought it was best if we drove together so that we could talk about what we wanted on the way there. He said he wanted his ring to be very masculine and gold. He also wanted some black in it. I told him about how ever since I was a little girl, I wanted my rings to have sapphires in them. I also added that I like the oval cut.
We finally arrived and as I started to look around I knew mine would have to be custom. We met with a jeweler there and decided to do Axel's first cause his would be easier to find or design. After trying on a few he decided to go with a gold band that had a Celtic design on a black back round.

Next, it was my turn. I started telling the jeweler about my idea and they agreed that we would have to design it from scratch. We started with the engagement ring. I told them everything I wanted. Then we started designing the wedding band. As soon as I was happy with both designs they went back to work on them. Axel had given them a hefty check to make them today. While the rings were being made, we decided to go out for an early dinner.
When we got back both my rings were done and it was time to try them on. I told them that I wanted the wedding band to be a surprise so they packaged it up and gave it right to Axel.
He dropped me off at my office because I still had some work to get done. I kept working and left the office around 9:00.
I went home and took a long shower. I was so excited because I only had one more real work day until my self care day. Every two months I schedule myself a self care day where I go to the spa, get a massage, get my hair done, get my nails done, etc. I really needed it because it was about to get so busy with the wedding planning and looking for a house. Anyways, I guess it is time to go to bed.
