"All I'm saying is he didn't have to give me detention!!" Anne smiled at her best friend, Margery Horsman, as she complained about their previous class. "Well.." Anne started "You didn't have to tell him that his wig flew off" the brunette finished with a smirk. Margery rolled her eyes, smiling, as the two girls shared a laugh when they remembered the scene their teacher made in class.
Margery's smile suddenly turned into an irriated expression, seemingly out of nowhere. Anne raised an eyebrow in confusion "Something wrong?" She asked as Margery pointed in front of them. "It's that time of the day." When she finished, Anne looked in front of them to see Henry Tudor. He was the most popular boy at school now that his brother died. Henry was extremely intelligent, handsome, and had the hottest calves. He was on the debate team, school choir, fencing team, and vice president of the drama club.
Henry was walking with his homies Thomas Wolsey, who usually went by his last name, and Thomas Cromwell. The closer Henry got, the more irritated Margery was, but Anne smirked once more. Recently, Henry was slowly becoming a regular part of Anne's life, walking her to class, deep conversations, casual flirting, etc. It was obvious Henry was infatuated with Anne, and she loved it. She herself felt something more toward the heir, but also had power over him that was used to her benefit.
As the popular boy group passed, Anne winked at Henry. Margery looked disappointed in her as the group passed. "I wouldn't get involved with him, Anne. Drama comes from people like him, especially since he is with Catherine." Anne rolled her eyes "I don't care. I'll be in Catherine's place soon enough. You'll get benefits too." Anne smiled at her skeptical friend. Margery wanted what was best for Anne, but knew she couldn't be persuaded when she had her mind to something. Margery sighed, knowing she wouldn't get anywhere with Anne. "Well I better" she said as Anne giggledWhen Anne winked at Henry, he stopped and watched her walk away with her friend. Henry smirked as he watched her walk away. "You're really going to do this, Henry?" Wolsey said, his arms crossed and an eyebrow raised. Henry then looked back at him. "I can find other girls attractive." Henry said straight out. "Not when you're with one of the most influential girls in school!" Wolsey said with a raised voice. "Why are you even with Catherine?"
Henry looked irritated. He had been very fond of Catherine even when she was with his brother and overall had a great relationship. Though, things change over time. He lost romantic feelings, but still cared deeply for her. At this point, he stayed with Catherine to make his psychopathic father happy.
"Things...change Wolsey." Henry had trouble getting his words out, this wasn't his favorite topic afterall. Thomas then put his hand on Henry's shoulder "Henry,...whatever choice you make, I will follow you to the ends of the earth! I will forever support you" Thomas said, making Henry smile. Thomas had said it to comfort Henry, but knew as long as Henry was happy, things for him would be good. "Thank you, Thomas" Henry said as Wolsey rolled his eyes at Thomas. Thomas then took his hand off Henry's shoulder "We should probably get to class now, the bell should go off soon" Thomas reminded them as the three rushed to their classes.Anne stared at Dante's Inferno as her teacher walked around the classroom, reading it to the class. She loved literature. As the teacher passed her, she looked up slightly but then looked back at the page. Something felt different though.
Anne then looked back up to see Henry staring at her from the other side of the room. As they made eye contact, time seemed to stop for a minute. Henry then looked back at the book, embarressed, as Anne did the same. 'What...what just happened?' Anne thought to herself 'I've flirted and looked at many men before...why is now different? Henry is a man like all the others I've seduced. Even if he is handsomer and smarter than the others; So what?! Even if his calves are muscley and fit...and his rear, tight and....'
Anne's eyes then got wide and she stared back at her book. 'What's wrong with me? I shouldn't get distracted with such things! Especially when we're getting to the best part'As the bell rung for lunch, Anne gathered her things, quickly walking to her locker. She was used to getting hatfilled looks by others along the way, due to her intelligence and wench-like ways. It wasn't her problem that they were jealous and undesirable in her opinion.
Anne arrived at her locker, putting her stuff down in front of her, as she went back up to put in the combination. As she opened to locker, she noticed a note fall to the ground. Intreged, she picked it up.My dearest Anne,
I need to talk with you urgently. We have much to talk about and you can not deny it. No tricks.
Meet me behind the school during lunch.Anne smiled "Oh I wonder who it could be" she said happily yet sarcastically. She wasn't an idiot, it was obvious who the letter was from, though she wasn't expecting him to be so direct. It honestly impressed her. Anne put her things in her locker and started walking to onw of the doors that lead to the outside of the school.
Anne then took her phone outI'm going to be late to lunch, I don't know when I'll be there, sorry. >
Anne sent the message to Margery, as they usually ate lunch together with their group of friends. Margery would be upset but that's for later. Anne then opened the back door, putting her phone in her pocket. She looked around and smiled, walking towards the male when she saw him.
"Didn't think you'd want to talk with me so soon" Anne said.
