Ethan and I was about to enter our classroom. This happen sometimes or should I say unexpectedly. But Alex came out all of a sudden to surprise us with a push-pop confetti.
"Belated happy birthday to both of you." Alex clamored and started singing the happy birthday song without thinking the embarassement.
I stopped Alex from singing so loudly.
"Okay okay stop now. Thank you haha. Thank you so much. Wow that's a wonderful... surprise from you."
"Thank you. Happy birthday, Dix..." she gave her a tight hug and added "Happy birthday, Ethan!"
"Thanks." Ethan replied.
Suddenly the bell rang indicating the start of classes.
"Oh anyways guys I have to go now. I might be late. Happy birthday again!" Alex leaves.
Dix deeply sighed and said "I didn't expect that. Really!"
Ethan saw one confetti on her head. Without letting her know he immediately got it out from her hair gently. Dix looked up and later stared at him like everything just went in slow motion.
"T-thanks?" Dix said.
Ethan just gave her a smile and leaves.
"What the fuck was that? The time just went in slow mo. Everything was so slow. No. Never mind!" she went back to her seat and felt awkward, shy and some butterflies in her stomach.
After their class Dix invited Alex to talk with her.
"Lex!" I shouted.
"Huh?"
"I have uhm..."
"You have what?"
"Uhhh"
"Just say it!"
"I have uhm something to share!"
"About what?"
Dix looked around to check if there are some people around them. She then grab her hand and look for a place where they can talk privately.
"So what will you share? Huh?"
"It's about him."
"Your bodyguard?"
"Well uhm... yeah?"
"Oh it's Ethan. What about him?"
"It was actually unexpected and like I don't know it just..."
"You can do that. What is it?"
"Like you know that feeling when everything went in slow mo?"
"Hmm I know."
"Really? You do? What was that?"
"It actually happened to me before when I was with someone whom I adore with. Things happened and then boom the time freezes. This someone is actually whom I adore. I love him but we didn't end up being together because of some certain things. You know not everyone is destined or meant for each other. Okay so I was saying that when that time happened I also felt like I am in a slow motion. After that I realized that I do adore him..." she stopped and then smiled while thinking her past love.
"And?"
"And that was all. Thank you!" she chuckled.
"So like when time freezes that means you are into someone? That's it?"
"I don't know some says. Why? are you in love? With whom? Your bodyguard?" she teased about them.
"No."
