The Knight of Soul Manipulation

Prologue

It was a Tuesday in the Kingdom of Musutafu and our protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, was going to the quirk identifiers office to find out his quirk. "Mommy! Mommy! Do you think my quirk is gonna be cool? I bet it will be! I'm gonna be just like the pro heroes when I grow up!" Izuku says energetically to his mom. (He doesn't idolize All Might in this universe because All Might died in a fight against a dragon named Wyrm) "Sweety, I bet your quirk will be very powerful." She responds. His father was slain in the great war between the Musutafu kingdom and the Tokyo kingdom. He had a quirk that allowed him to summon a snake named Thelius who could materialize into a weapon, tool, or just a giant snake.

(Timeskip btyb excited Izuku)

(At the Quirk Identifiers office)

The doctor comes out of his identification room with a look of disgust on his face."Your son has a very powerful quirk, but it is also very dangerous and could be used for much evil." The doctor says in a malicious tone. "It is called Soul Manipulation and has to do with consulting with demons and ghosts. He very easily could be set out from society and treated badly, as he should" he continues. Inko looks at her son with angry eyes. "YOU ARE SO WORTHLESS YOU LITTLE GREMLIN!" She says in a tone that could pierce the strongest of armor. She smacks him across the face and he starts bleeding. "M-mama why are you doing this?" Izuku says sadly. "YOU HAVE A VILLAIN QUIRK THATS WHY!! YOU WILL NEVER BE ANYTHING MORE THAN SCUM!" She screams at him. She grabs him and throws him outside. "NOW, RUN AND NEVER COME NEAR ME AGAIN." She slams the door and he starts to scramble away.

(Timeskip to a day later)

Izuku is roaming the streets of the kingdom and sees kids playing in a courtyard. He is hungry because he can't find anything to eat. He walks up to the group of kids and asks "Can I play with you guys?" A blonde kid with a little to much pride says, "Sure but you gotta have a cool quirk to play with us." "Yeah! So what is your quirk?" says a female version of the blonde kid. "W-well i'm Izuku Midoriya and my quirk is called Soul Manipulation." he tells them. "THAT'S THE VILLAIN KID FROM THE RUMOURS SPREADING AROUND TOWN!!!" says a kid with two-tone hair. He also has a twin sister who just looks at Izuku with a look of concern. "LET'S BEAT HIM UP!!!!" says the blonde boy while creating explosions in his hand. The two tone kid and the other blonde kid start to use their quirks too. "W-wait, i'm not a villain, I promise!!!" says Izuku. "IM KATSUKI BAKUGO, THIS IS MY SISTER KATSUMI, AND THIS IS SHOTO TODOROKI!!! WE ARE GONNA BEAT YOU TO A PULP!!!!!!" the now named Katsuki yells. Shoto sends ice spikes towards Izuku and Izuku is getting cut up in multiple places. The Bakugo twins are sending mini explosions towards his back and his shirt has a hole ripped in it. After about 10 minutes of the kids beating up Izuku they got bored and walked away.

(with the Bakugo and Todoroki kids)

"Where are you going Shoka?" asks Katsumi. "I left something back there. I'll catch up later." Shoka replies. Shoka runs back to Izuku and rolls him out of his face down position. "Are you here to beat me up more? Please don't hurt me more." Izuku says in a scared tone. "I'm Shoka Todoroki and I came back to see if you were okay. You are obviously hurt so at least let me help you with the bleeding." She mentions in a caring tone. She uses her ice to stop the bleeding and swelling. "Why don't you hate me? I have a villain quirk and your friends hate me. So why don't you? I thank you for helping me, but why?" he asks worried. "There is no such thing as a villain quirk. It only matters if you have a heroic heart. Even though your quirk could be used for evil it doesn't mean you can only do villainous things with it. Your quirk could be used for heroic things too." Izuku starts crying and hugs Shoka. "C'mon Izuku, i'll help you walk." She walks him to a small shelter in bottom of a stairway. "I'll be back in a couple minutes 'kay?" Shoka tells him. "O-okay Shoka, please come back soon." Izuku says back.

(a couple minutes later)

"Izuku? I brought you some food. I hope its enough. This is my secret spot where I go when I need alone time. I have a little bed of hay set up over there. I'll come back tomorrow with some more food and some clothes for you. I'll also give you some money." Shoka tells him. "It sounds like you are leaving. Please keep visiting me so I don't get lonely." Izuku says in a pleading voice. "I won't leave you Izuku. I have to go home now. I'll be back tomorrow Izuku." she says while waving goodbye. Izuku waves back. While Izuku is sitting in the small hide-away, he look around and explores a bit. There is some bars that are spread out enough and are tall enough to climb through. He sees that the room is the size of his bedroom at his old house. It wasn't very big, but he could survive. It was dimly lit by an oil lantern on the ceiling. He takes a cloth from the wall of the room and puts it over the bars. He looks around and sees a potted flower that looks healthy. It fills Izuku with D E T E R M I N A T I O N. Izuku looks at the bag of food he was given. He takes some bread and starts to chow down on it. He rests his back on the wall next to some broken shackles than were there to keep stuff from collapsing. He finishes his food and decides to lay in his little bed. He starts crying and thinking about how he was just cast out by his mom and was bullied by kids in a plaza. At least he had met Shoka. She was the only one who cared for him. He was interrupted from his crying by a scratching noise coming from a little hole in the wall. He walks over to it and peeks in. He sees a black cat with what seems to be 2 tails. He offers it some food and it cautiously walks over to him. It eats the food and Izuku starts to pet the cat. The double-tailed cat starts purring and pushing against his hand. Izuku walks back over to his bed and closes his eyes. He is starting to drift off to sleep when he feels a pressure on his chest. He opens his eyes and sees the cat laying on him. Now that he sees the cat in the light he sees that it is way different than any other cat he had seen. It was obvious he was a little different due to the tails, but this cat also had turquoise eyes and small teal horns on its head. He rests his small hand on the cat and falls asleep.
