Ruhi's heart skipped a beat. It felt like she was falling in love all over again.

"Hey, Ruhi right? Long time no see!" A tall girl smiled, her eyes squinting "what a coincidence, am I right?"

Both girls were standing fully geared with inline skates while standing near a banked ramp.

Ruhi nervously chuckled, knowing full well that this was in fact not a coincidence, but rather a planned meeting.

"Alrighty skaters! The ramp is now open to use, refreshments are located to the side over there, and helmets and mandatory." A loud speaker announced.

Groans were heard all over the stadium as helments were fastened on. Ruhi and the mystery girl were already ready with their helmets, so they went right in.

"Nice hair"

"I'm sorry?" The girl looked over at Ruhi, feeling a sense of deja vu fall over her. She felt the nostalgia, but couldn't quite put her finger on where she felt it from.

"Your hair, it suits you. Frames your face nicely, not many can pull off the short hair as well as you do"

She rolled her eyes "thanks for the compliment, but you're one to talk. Walking in here with your short hair looking like you bout to win a beauty contest"

Ruhi almost fell over, needless to say, she was not expecting a compliment like that back. She could feel her face heat up as she gained her balence.

"You alright there?" The taller girl asked as she looked back.

"Y-yup yup! Pefectly fine, I must've tripped or something. You know, the hilt must have track-ed" Ruhi quickly answered, to which the other shook her head and turned back around.

It could have been from her almost falling over, or the very bad pun. Either way, Ruhi was left to follow her from behind.

Ruhi stared at her back as her eyes squinted lovingly.

'she doesn't realise she's the reason I cut my hair'

-LE FLASHBACK-

"Your hair's nice"

"What?" Yashika looked back.

"Your hair," Ruhi came and took a seat next to her "the shortness of it suits you"

Yashika chuckled "thanks, pretty sure you'd look great with short hair too. You've got the face for it"

"You really think so?" Her face heated up as she asked for confirmation.

"Definitely, am I ever wrong about these things?" Yashika said as she got up "come on, back to the ramp we go! I'm going to beat you this time!"

"Highly improbable, but you're welcome to try" Ruhi challenged as the two made their way back to the ramp.

'holy guacamole, Yashika said I'd look hot in short hair!'

"My my, how the tables have turned." Yashika snickered as she beat Ruhi at a race.
