Olivia's POV
"Welcome to Patria's, can I help you find anything today?" I say to the customers who just entered through the door.
"Um yeah actually, I am looking for something to wear for a job interview. I really want this job and need to make a good impression but I'm awful at clothes," she laughs.
"Well then you're in luck because I have the perfect outfit for you!" I guide her to the back of the store where we keep the business outfits. I reach up and grab a white long sleeve collared shirt and a pair of slim black trousers and show them to her.
"What do you think of this?" I ask, holding the pieces of the outfit together.
"Well it's cute but it's not really my style," she replied. I turned around and put the items back and reached up for another outfit. This one was a black long sleeve v-neck and a black and white plaid pencil skirt.
"That's it! That's perfect!" She excitedly grabbed the clothes from me and practically ran to the fitting rooms. I laugh and begin to make my way to the front of the store. I stop in front of our floor length mirror and make sure my reflection looked the way I wanted it to. My peach dress and denim jacket work well against my slightly tanned skin and my wavy dark brown hair reached halfway between my shoulders and my elbows. I run my hands through my hair and sigh.
"Double shift again last night?" The cashier, Katheryn, asked as she watched me fix myself up in the mirror.
"You know it," I glanced in the mirror one more time as I said this and peeled my eyes off of my reflection.
"Girl you work all day here just to go to the bar and work all night there. I don't see how you do it."
"Katheryn you know I have to work both jobs to help my mom." I said starting back to my place at the front of the store. Suddenly Kathryn's hand gripped my wrist and held me back.
"Just don't overwork yourself, okay?" Katheryn looked at me and smiled sweetly.
"Don't worry Kath, I'll stop before I collapse," I laugh as I walk away from the counter and over by the doors. As I draw nearer to the doors, I hear loud screams coming from the plaza. Curiously, I open the door and am greeted by an ear-blasting scream and the strum of a guitar.
"What in the world is going ok out there?" I hear Katheryn shout from her counter.
"I don't know," I shout back, "I'll check it out."
I wander out into the plaza and walk towards the noise. I turn the corner and find a band performing in the previously open stage. I strut towards the right side of the stage and stop when I'm a couple hundred feet away. I watch in fascination as the lead singer rocked as he sung, occasionally reaching out to the crowd and high-fiving some hands. I watch until they finish their song, then turn to go back to work.
"Hey everybody thanks for joining us at our impromptu concert down here in Rutshire county!" The crowd screamed and chanted.
"We're out here tonight because we need a favor from you lovely people," the lead singer sat on the edge of the stage, one leg propped up where he rested his elbow. "We're going on tour pretty soon but our dressing manager just quit on us. Who out there thinks they know anything about fashion?" The crowd screamed again, everyone begging to be chosen. There isn't one person out there with a lick of fashion in their blood. I roll my eyes and head back to the store to finish my shift.
