Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read the first chapter of my story! I hope you'll stick up with me in the future, and yeah, I won't bother you anymore, so have a great time!

The wooden door that was standing in front of you was huge. The engravings that had been made on it were so beautiful you could barely imagine a human would have been able to do them. You didn't know how you ended up there, but it was safer not to know. Your past seemed so far away that you couldn't even remember your name. You were hearing people talking, but the voices sounded unreal, as if someone had put those ear plugs into your ears. You felt a bit dizzy and moving your body was harder than you remember it was. The feeling was the same as the one you get when you wake up from a bad night. After a moment, the noise around you seemed to get more distinctive and you were able to distinguish the sound of people cheering up someone. The hands clapping were becoming louder and louder, to a point it became unbearable. The sound was now banging in your head and you felt like it was hitting the inside of your brain. Your hands reached your temples as your headache kept getting worse and worse. The sound now felt like it was coming directly from the inside of your head. You could hear people scream someone's name as you felt like your brain would explode.

"Hisoka! Hisoka! Hisoka!"

Hisoka... that name sounded familiar to you. You didn't know where it was from, but you definitely heard it before. You tried hard to remember who this Hisoka was, but your headache was not making it easy.

"When will it end..." you said, talking to yourself.

Suddenly, you felt someone's hand grab your shoulder. You let out a small scream as you turned around, ready to protect yourself from this new person.

The face you encountered was softer than the one you expected. His features were very feminine, but his authority was intimidating. His hair was a deep black and reached his lower back. His eyes were so big and dark that you let your guard down for a split second, getting lost in them. You could feel his gaze pierce you and you suddenly felt exposed. You got back to your senses soon enough. Your body shivered as goosebumps formed on your skin. You had the sensation he could read all the emotions you were feeling.

"Who- who are you?" you asked, trying to keep a calm and neutral face.

As you waited for an answer, you saw a little smirk forming on his face, but it completely disappeared after a couple of seconds.

"Welcome, Y/N." He said, using a formal and emotionless expression.

"Y/N... that's right, that's my name, I remember now." You said to yourself as you thought of a way to answer that.

But then you realized something. How the fuck did he knew your name?

"Wait, how do you know my name?" you said, trying to look the most confident you could while covering your ears from the noise.

"Oh, I just appear to know it, that's all. I've been waiting for you, Y/N. In fact, we all did." he said, not really answering your question.

"We?" you asked, genuinely confused.

While the stranger thought of an answer, a new sound seemed to be heard ("Kyousou Requiem", Hisoka's character song). At the second the melody reached your ears, the headache and the tension that were all over your body disappeared. It was like all your trouble and pain had left your soul, and you felt lightweight.

"I see the music you are hearing is having an effect on you. Hisoka told me that it might happen. I'm Illumi by the way." he said with his monotone voice.

But you weren't listening anymore. The melody you were hearing procured you so much intern peace that it was the only thing you could concentrate on. It was like the sound of the crowd going wild completely disappeared. Illumi noticed that you weren't paying attention to what he was saying, so he simply pushed the massive door that was keeping you away from the beautiful music you were hearing.
