Opening my eyes and stretching out like a kitten, I groaned, feeling a little better than before. Cautiously, I tried to move my hands and was glad to see that they weren't tied again. My head still hurt a little and I was certain that it was because of my overthinking.

How long was I asleep for?

I spent a lot of time worrying about the future, thinking about if I even made the right choice or not. A part of me knew that I was being stupid and reckless, that no matter what happens, you shouldn't ask for help from a complete stranger, that too a dragon. But I had read a lot of stories as a child, and dragons are well known for taking away princesses and killing them...

I couldn't decide whether I should trust him or not. He seemed pretty harmless, and I haven't heard any stories of the dragon attacking any human or being spotted in any humans' lands.

Guess it's worth a shot? I mean, if he kills me then that's just an easy way out to escape the whole cobweb of problems I have tangled myself in.

Rolling my body to the opposite side, a scream bubbled in my throat when I saw the dragon sitting casually in the room, with what appeared to be a book in his hands.

"What are you doing in here? Is there really no concept of privacy in the house?!" I yelled, covering my body with the blanket, even though I was fully covered.

He appeared confused, looking up from the book to stare at me, "Privacy? I should be asking you that. Besides, I was just trying to figure out whether the concept of directions has changed in the contemporary world."

"What does that even mean?!" I yelled harshly, trying to make sense of his words.

"It means that, I clearly asked you to go to the room upstairs on your right, which led to the guest room. This room, however, is the door upstairs on your left, which is my room. You're laying in my bed. Think of it as a favor that I haven't pushed you off yet," he scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"It would have been better if you had just pushed me off then! I wouldn't be in this embarrassing situation right now, nor would you have to do me this 'favor,' as you so gently put it."

"The only person that put you in this embarrassing situation, was you yourself. If you were actually paying attention to what I said, then this situation would never have occurred," he hmmed, looking down at the book he was holding. His features suddenly changed to that of alarmed, and he snapped his head up towards me. His lips were a little parted, giving me a view of his teeth.

They looked so dangerous. I should probably stop getting on his nerves all the time, since for a moment there, I forgot that he is a dragon and can kill me.

Nah.

I raised my brows and looked at him before asking, "What?"

"Oh no, are you dyslexic? Because if you are, then I am so sorry. I did not mean to make fun of your-"
