Chapter 4 Pain Is A Bitch

The day I got the snot knocked out of me I had to stay home. I had a severely bruised abdomen and my entire body ached. Groaning in pain I sat up and placed my hand on my dogs, ren, head. The small Japanese chin looked up at me and licked my hand with his ears back. I smiled at this as granny walked into the room. "Alright...I'm off, see you at 5" she said kissing my forehead. "later" I said with a smile, once she was gone I heard my phone go off. On my in-table it showed I had a text message from Mizuki. It read "how are you feeling?" Shocked by how he knew I responded "I'm good, how'd you know I was staying home?" sending it to him I layed back down.

Only a minute later I got a response, "surprise, surprise noiz actually talked, but only for five seconds" reading this I was shocked. Talking to Mizuki I soon got a text message from an unknown number. Mizuki had stopped texting me because school had started. "How's it going, you sore?" The unknown text message had shocked me, "yeah, and who is this?" Sending the message I waited for a response. Five minutes later I got a response, "its noiz, idiot" reading this I was suprized he would be talking to me after what happened yesterday. "How'd you get my phone number?" I asked as I got tired all of a sudden. When the next message came through it read, "Mizuki had it written on his palm and koujaku read it out loud, so I put it in my phone" surprised he had actually added my number I felt so confused.

"Who the hell are you and what have you done with noiz?!" I texted back closing my eyes. When the text came back it read, "I'll tell you later, gtg" after the message had come through the texting stopped. "What's going on?" I thought to myself, sitting my phone down I felt myself falling asleep. Becoming drowsy from the medication I was given, I soon fell asleep.

-IN AOBA'S DREAM-

As the sun shined through the clouds it soon disappeared behind the horizon. Cars passed each other, some honked, some even become slower than others as they approached red lights. Ours had just passed the last red light going home, in the foggy summer air it began to rain. It started out as a drizzle but it soon became a down poor. "It sure is coming down hard isn't it?" A low voice said as a crack of lightning could be heard and seen in the distance. "We should be alright" said a softer voice. Sitting in the back of the car I heald onto my stuffed bunny, becoming sleepy my eyes began to slowly shut. Not a moment later the car began to swerve out of control, I heald onto the rabbit tightly as the car ran into a oncoming car.

-OUTSIDE OF AOBA'S DREAM-

Snapping my eyes open I was startled when I found a hand on my cheek. My tears had been wiped away by a familiar person. "N-noiz, what're you doing in my house!" I exclaimed sitting up but gripping my gut in pain. I let out a groan as he put his other hand on my other cheek, I was shocked when he kissed me on the lips. I pulled away blushing as he sat on my legs holding me down. "Get off!" I demanded as he grabbed my wrists and heald me in place. "You don't remember me...do you?" He asked getting close to my face again. "What are you talking about!!!" I growled looking away. Noiz turned my head back to him and kissed me again, entirely confused I tried to get out of his grip.

When he pulled away he chuckled at my blushing face. "You always blushed back then" he said with a snicker. "Explain to me what's going on...I'm so confused" I growled pushing him off. He sat on the side of my bed and rubbed the back of his neck and let out a sigh, "your still a pain you know that," he paused for a second before looking at me. "Just to make sure, you seriously don't remember?," he asked again. "YES IM SURE, NOW EXPLAIN YOURSELF!!!!" I yelled as he turned to me. "I wouldn't be a surprised, the doctor said you would have amnesia and probably never regain your past memories, except from when the car crashed," him saying this made me remember something destinct. "When you were little you said you lived in the nakigawa region, correct?" He said looking at me, giving him a small nod he continued. "You lived in a big house, in a desolate area. But there was one house close to yours, in that house a small child had never gone near you, until you bumped into him one day," he paused shifting a little.

-POINT OF VIEW IN NOIZ'S STORY, BUT YOUR TAKING IT FROM AOBA'S PERSPECTIVE-

Upset from the fact my grandfather had died I ran out of the house with tears streaming down my face. He was the only one that listened to me fully, running into the nearby trees I went to my 'hideout.' Slowing down a little I was startled when I saw a young boy. He looked to be about my age but just a little older, maybe by a couple of months. The boy had tan hair, mostly blond though. I jerked as he sturred in his sleep, his eyes soon opened. Blinking a couple of times the boy soon looked at me. His piercing yellow eyes made me frightened, "wh-what're you doing here?" I asked looking at the kid. He just looked up at me confused. "This is my hideout!" I exclaimed as more tears escaped my tear guts.

The boy then stood up and looked down at me, "what do I have to do to stay?" He asked with a straight face. I chocked on my spit, "i-i guess you could stay if you'd like" I said looking away and wiping my tears away. "My name is noiz" he said as I turned back to him. "I-i'm aoba" I said not meeting his scary eyes, he then put a hand on my head and rubbed my hair. "Why are you crying?" He asked as I jumped at his sudden touch. Although he was scary his gentle touch soothed me. I explained what happened and he gave a couple of nods as I told him of the passing of my grandpa. "I'm sorry to hear that" he said taking his hand off my head. Soon changing the subject I talked to noiz more.

As we talked I felt like I had know noiz for a long time. Before I knew it it was sun down, I was getting ready to leave but noiz grabbed my wrist and looked me deeply in my eyes. "Tell me whenever you are troubled so I can be the one to comfort you" he said hugging me. I gave a nod even though my face was shoved into his chest. For the next 2 years I saw noiz almost every day, he and I always met up at the hideout. I was usually the one waiting for him and I would greet him with a hug.

-OUT OF THE STORY-

I looked at noiz in shock, "b-but how can that be...I don't-"

"Remember?" Noiz said finishing my sentence. I gave a nod, "I bet you don't remember the promise you and I made" he said with a smile, I looked at him with concern since he got close to me. "You made a promise I belonged to you" he said kissing me. I tried to push him away but him kissing me caused a flash back to go off. It was just as noiz had explained, I had known him when I was only 4 or 5. He lived in the house only ten minutes away, but I couldn't remember the promise I had made to him. When he pulled away my entire face was red, he put a hand on my cheek, "you'll always belong to me, aoba" he said laying on me. I let out a grunt as he went limp on me. He wrapped his arms around me as I tried to protest against him. I was shocked when I felt my heart skip a beat, noiz's body heat flooded into mine causing me to be sleepy.
