Bucky was certain he had lost the ability to breathe as he dropped to cover Allie's body with his own. She had instinctively curled tightly into herself. She was breathing heavily, and as he made an attempt to look at her, he noticed her eyes widened before she took deep breaths and looked around his body to the other Commandos.
"Are you okay?" he asked her, quietly as he made the attempt to not draw more attention to how they had hidden themselves.
"I'm okay," she nodded with a groan, shifting to look up at him. "Are you?"
"I'm fi—" he was interrupted by another round of bullets beginning to fly around the Jeeps. "I'm fine."
Looking at each other before glancing to Steve, they watched as he pulled out his shield from the floor. Silently, Allie thanked God that Steve had thought to do so. Steve gave a small nod those in his Jeep before he popped over the seats and threw it in the direction of the opposition.
Steve was quick to hop from the Jeep, instructing the others to stay down for a moment more. Allie could hear as Steve and James were unloading weapons. Slipping cases into their Jeep, James and Steve had their weapons out and loaded, defending themselves when they could see an attacker.
Allie and Bucky were each quick to load their guns, popping out of the Jeep and planting themselves firmly on the ground. At the arrival of agents they knew belonged to Hydra, each Commando found themselves separated from the others.
Steve had taken to using his shield as a boomerang, knocking over agent after agent allowing Dugan and Jim to gain the upper hand on numerous attackers. Bucky himself had found himself fighting hand-to-hand with a few of the agents as their bullets ran out.
Allie was happy to have the defense of her gun. "Shit," she muttered to herself as she took shelter behind a tree and loaded the extra magazine she had snagged into her pistol. Making a mental note to make her way back to the Jeeps in order to find a few more magazines, she found herself caught of guard.
Pointing her pistol, she blinked and it had been forced from her hand. Watching as it flew to the side and into the fauna, she pursed her lips in concentration. An agent running directly towards her, she went on instinct. She didn't think to much of her decisions, waiting until he had been close enough to throw a punch that landed along his jaw. At his slight stumble, she dug her heel into his toes, and raised her knee to his crotch.
The noise that came from his throat was something Allie could have only described as a strangled gurgle. She had made the attempt to run in the direction her pistol had fallen, determined to have her weapon back. Before she could take any step, however, the agent had reached up and taken her down at her knees.
She yelped as she hit the ground, kicking her heel at any sensitive point on his body she could find. Gripping for anything with a bit of weight that could have sat near her, she found a rock large enough to use. With as much swing as she could muster, she hit him in the head and watched as his hand flew up to grab his temple in pain.
He had made a grab for her, missing her by a mere inch as she stood back up. Her hands prepared to throw another punch, she watched him stumble to his feet. She wasn't entirely sure of what she was doing, and she was hoping that any of her boys would be over by her soon.
It didn't seem that that would be case, however, as a second agent had appeared and reached to grab her, catching her by her wrist. Caught off guard, she didn't account for the two men to have played dirty. As she ripped free of the second man and turned to the first, she helplessly threw a punch in his direction. The moment she threw it, however, he had caught it and she felt an ungodly burning in her abdomen. Looking down to her waist, she watched the knife leaving her body.
