"Checkmate." Nick's voice rang out in the almost empty voice channel.

"Shit." George mumbled.

He was absolutely horrible at chess, he got distracted so easily and couldn't handle all of the thinking involved in the game. Why was it called a bishop too, it looked like a weird stick thing.

The signature ding of discord sounded as someone joined the quiet voice channel.

"Hey Dream." George said calmly .

"You don't have to call me that when we aren't streaming; you know that George." Clay chuckled. His laugh was a mix between the usual chuckle and a hint of sincerity in in.

"Clay, he usually calls you daddy when you aren't streaming." Nick pitched in, with a very audible smirk.

"WHAT?!" said Clay, his usual tea kettle wheeze returning.

It sounded like he couldn't breathe, the wheeze probably half suffocating him.

George's face grew hot and waves of embarrassment flooded his brain "Nick, What the heck?" he called out, he felt so uncomfortable but couldn't tell why.

This was normal right.

Casually being shipped with your closest friend by your other close friend.

Not to mention the millions of people on the internet who shipped them.

"Clay, When is the manhunt recording?" George asked, trying to bring the mood back to a stable one.

"Wrong name, whats's the right one?" Clay responded flirtatiously.

This was probably Clay's favorite thing to do. Endlessly flirting with George. But God damn, Clay didn't know how much it affected George.

"Shut up, Clay." He groaned in frustration. George was so confused. Why did he want to answer the way Clay wanted him to respond?

"Stop flirting, I can't smell with all the tension pouring out of my headset." Nick practically screaming into his microphone, probably rolling his eyes.

George ripped off his headset, Nick's voice was still ringing in his ears.

George needed a minute to think, his head was pounding with confusion and stress "Guys, I have to go do stuff, I have to head out, sorry." he quickly spurted out from his mouth.

It wasn't exactly a lie, but he didn't have things to do, more like things to think.

George disconnected from the call, and threw his head back in frustration. God, he wanted to call Clay that name. The one he hated to say.

WHAT THE FUCK! George thought. He shouldn't be thinking of Clay in any sexual or romantic way, let alone thinking about calling him.... well you know.

George eyes went straight back to his computer screen and opened a new tab, quickly exiting out of the tab and opening an incognito tab.

He moved his hands to his keyboard, hovering over the letters on the keys.

He quickly typed in one thing.

How to tell if you are falling for someone.

His eyes wandered to the google answers and read them, answering them off of the top of his head.

1.) You can't stop staring at them. Well, He didn't know what Clay looked like, so a no.

2.) You abandon your usual activities. Kind of... he had ditched any normal social life to play Minecraft with his bestfriends.

3.) You don't mind when they do something unattractive. George didn't care when clay did anything that wasn't unattractive, Clay couldn't do anything that bad..., cold he?

4.) They can do no wrong. George wasn't sure, but he didn't think Clay did anything that George knew of that was bad.

5.) You feel unusually optimistic. He was always relatively optimistic so he didn't know.

6.) You always think about them. Shit. Clay was always somewhat on his mind, whether it was about work, or recently about more, well, inappropriate things. These things were hard for George to well, take care of. George would feel a little weird if he got off to his best friend, so he just sat though it until it went away. Maybe it was just hormones.

7.) You want them to be happy. Of course George wanted Clay to be happy. He wanted all of his friends to be as happy as possible.

George decided on one thing. He probably wasn't straight. Could he really have feelings for his best friend?

No, no, no. He couldn't possibly.

But he did.

Georges stomach flipped nervously as he shut off his computer and leaned back in his chair. He threw his head back and moved his arm to swipe off the beads of sweat that were forming in frustration on his forehead.

He sighed, moving his head back and resting it in his hands which were balancing on his desk. His head pounded with thoughts, and confusion set in.

(A/N: HI I'M HERE! I'm taking a break from o7 to write this, so if you read that, that's why. If you read this, this chapter was just background about George and how he realized his feelings. The next chapters will be told in 3rd person from Dreams perspective. If you understood the reference at the beginning, can we get married right now.)
