Lilianna POV
I don't get it. How can I have the same love letter from years ago? I wasn't even born yet. That's so weird. I might tell Parker to see if she can figure something out about this. I go to my closet and get my clothes for work today. After putting my clothes on I grab the keys off the counter. I make my way to the driveway to get to the car. I get inside the car, but the key inside the engine. The car turns on and I turn on the radio blasting loud music.
The song "Lie Lie Lie" by Joshua Bassett. I sing along with the music. I love Joshua Bassett's music. The car ride to the coffee shop isn't far away from the house. It's about a 15 minutes car ride. I arrive at the coffee shop and the bell rings when someone is coming through the door. I see Emily at the cashier I wave at her. I go to the backroom and sign in with my card. I put on my apron and get ready to waitress.
I come back and I see Thomas at a table. I walk over to him and say. "Hey"
"Oh hey, I didn't know you worked here," Thomas says back. " Yeah as soon as I moved here, I got a job here," I say. "Yeah..." Thomas says looking at me weirdly. "So what's your order?" I ask getting my notebook and pen out. "Can I get a blueberry muffin with"- Thomas says? I cut him off saying "hot chocolate" He's shocked. "Yeah umm how did you know?" Thomas asks looking shocked. "I honestly don't know I wasn't even thinking about it that's so weird," I whisper that last part. That's like the second weirdest that's happened to me.
I go back to the kitchen I get a hot fresh blueberry muffin from the oven. I put it on a small plate. I go back to the table and Thomas is gone. Huh, I wondered why he left. He did leave a $10 tip. That's nice of him. I grab the money put it in my pocket. I go back to work.
My shift at work went fast. I can't work as long because of the school policy. I got into my car and blast music all the way home. I get inside the house and see mom on the couch watching some reality tv show. I tiptoe my way over to the couch and sit down. "Hey, mom," I say hoping she'd notice me. "Oh my gosh, you scared me." She says. "I was looking forward to that," I say laughing. " That's not funny." She says hitting my shoulder softly. I smile. "Mom, can I tell you something weird?" I ask getting emotionally ready for this.
"Yeah, sweetheart you can tell me anything," Mom says turning off the TV. "So...um... today after school I saw a love letter from years ago but I have the same one but it's addressed to someone else. It was in a yearbook from years ago." I say to her. "That is weird, maybe your seeing things sweetie." My mom says rubbing my back. "Yeah maybe I'm tired, I'm going to go to sleep." I get up and walk into my room.
I reached my room and instantly make a phone call to Parker. The rings flow out of my phone until she picks up. "Hey, can you meet me at the front door tomorrow?" I say nervously. "Yeah is there anything wrong?" She questions. "Ummm... I- I don't know yet. Just meet me at the front doors tomorrow at school." I say quickly hanging up the phone.
After getting off the phone with Parker I looked under my bed and get the yearbook that I had earlier. I went to the front of the opening and took a picture of the love letter that looked like I wrote twice. This is a mystery and I don't know how far does this yearbook thing go. Maybe this is just like Riverdale. No, this can't be Riverdale the parents are evil. I push the thought to the back of my head. I go get ready for bed.
The next morning
I try to gather my thoughts and try to make all the sense to Parker. I hope she understands or tries to help me figure out the mystery behind it all. I see Parker at the front door of the school building where I told her to meet me. I go over to her. She looks anxious, I mean I would to especially if your friend called you late at night to meet you early in the morning for something. "Hey," I say to her. "What's up. So are you going to tell me what's wrong?" Parker asks. " Yes," I say back. I pull my phone out of my back pocket and pull up the picture or at least I tried. It's GONE. The picture I had on my phone is gone. "What is it," Parker says looking at me. "Umm wait for a second," I say lifting my index finger. I checked my photos again to make sure I'm just seeing things. The picture is still gone. How did this happen? Nobody was in my room last night. Wait I have a solution, my mom is still at home maybe she can bring me the actual yearbook. "Okay so let me catch you up on the last few minutes," I say looking at parker.
Minutes passes and I haven't called my mom yet. I and Parker are walking to the Library. Since the picture of the love letter I have on my phone is somehow deleted I need to take Parker to the one I saw yesterday when I was looking for books. I spot the yearbook section from across the room and before I could reach it some boy jumped in me and Parker's face. "Hi I'm Thomas, would you sign up for my muffin club?" I assume Thomas ask. "Excuse me?" I question him. I know he isn't asking what I think he's asking. "Would you sign up for my muffin club?" Thomas asks once again. " What type of muffin club?" I ask raising my eyebrow. My leg is shaking from anxiety for this boy asking for some sex. I might look stupid and I'm new to this school but I'm not just plain dumb. "I just said it my muffin," Thomas says annoyingly. "I'm sorry can you ask me later I have somewhere to be," I say running away from him. Parker is already there I didn't even notice she left. "So which yearbook is it?" Parker ask.
I look closely trying to see which one has the year 1964. I can't find it. Since I'm bad with numbers I look over the numbers, once then twice. IT'S GONE!!!
