Talliria: The Homeland

Chapter 1: The Beginning

        It all began with the Primordial Burst. The burst that gave birth to every planet, every galaxy, and most importantly, to every Star. Because from those Stars, a Goddess was born: Lyra, The First Starmaker. She helped the Universe bind together into a never-ending sea of Stars and constellations, a infinite sea of possibilities and galaxies. Our story, however, does not begin here, nor does it on Earth. Our story starts a few light years away, in a place ruled by the Goddess herself. Our story begins on Talliria, the planet where the River flows.

      Located in the Garantua System, the planet is the very center of the Primordial Burst, the place where everything began. It was blessed with, what seemed like, an infinite River of Stars; an everlasting pool from which all Mages and Starmakers of the planet drew their power from. It also held an immense healing power within it, accelerating the healing process of every wound that a person had, while giving birth in it's waters was supposed to ease the struggle of the mother and bless the child, protecting it from any harm. Eventually, pilgrimages began to form around the River; mages, starmakers and mothers soon to give birth, all came here once in a full cycle to replenish their strengths. In this very river, Lyra gave birth to her son. A son that was not born in natural ways, yet created from the very fabric of the universe, with a future as bright as the shining stars, yet with a burden that not a lot could carry on their shoulders. His name was Valen, the first Prince.

      From his first moments of life, his affinity to the stars and the pure, even wild, arcane energies that rushed through Talliria was noticed. The stars shined brighter then they ever did, while the water around him began to move, almost dance, greeting the newborn on the planet. His mother covered him up in a white, star powder-infused cloth and carried him to the castle, where his journey and training to become a King would commence. For years after, all their Galaxy lived in peace and harmony, until something happened, provoking a war .

      To protect her only offspring, Lyra surrounded herself only with the most trustworthy people she had, creating a secret order: the Lupus Magistrate. It was tasked with protecting the Royal Family and aiding the small prince in his journey. Only the bravest warriors and mages could join this Magistrate and only after they completed a, rather impossible, set of tasks given by Lyra herself. To every member of the family was designated a Lupus, someone to take an oath of protection, someone who was willing to die only to have the Royal Family continue. This was the moment where Wulgar stepped in. He was a tall, athletic male, with his hair always kept into a messy bun. For the age of twenty, he was the most promising spell sword that the Magistrate had. His affinity for both close and ranged combat was to be feared, winning every single duel and completing every single challenge given by Lyra with ease. He took the oath and with the full support of the Lupus Magistrate, it was approved by the Goddess. Our story starts a few years after the oath was pledged, it starts when Valen reaches the age of 18, the moment in which he is officially ready to take his mother's place and rule Talliria.
