Chapter 20 ( PAST 2)

It has been three months that Sid joined the boarding school. He was scared a lot because he did not have his support system or any friends. He was overweight guy. All took this as opportunity and bullied him badly . He hated to go to school. At night he used to have nightmare about his fathers death . Slowly he had nightmares about bullying and all also . Warden used to beat him at night as he disturbed others sleep.

It was after three months Jai joined the school , he was roommate of Sid . He tried to be friendly with him but Sid used to avoid him . Jai tried his level best to get Sid attention as he was lonely . He observed each made every thing of Sid's behaviour.

One day it so happened that , senior students were bullying Sid badly . Jai saved him from them and it was the first time Sid spoke with him.

Sid : ummm. Thanks

Jai : no problem but in return I need something from you.

Sid : what you want ? (Stammering )

Jai: (smiles) your friendship

Sid : why you want to be my friend ? Everyone hate me I am fat and ugly, nobody likes to be near me! (Stammering)

Jai : shhhh never say like that , you are good inside out. Now wil you be my friend ?

Sid : sure !

At first Sid was little hesitant, as the time passed both became best buddies. They used share each and everything,support each other . In simple Jai is a knight in shining armour of Sid . He used protect him from bullies . One day Jai decided to ask Sid about his sleepless nights.

Jai : Sid why won't you sleep at night ?

Sid : .........(blank )

Jai : if your comfortable only share with me.

Sid : You know the reason why I am in boarding school ?

Jai : no yaar

Sid : so it's because my father died in an accident.Me and papa were going on a ride in the light night. I used to love this rides so much and papa never says no to me . That night changed everything (sobbing),while coming back a car crashed our car papa was saving me and in return in died. ( hiccuping)

Jai hugged him tightly

Jai : shhh you don't have to say

Sid : no let me continue. All my relatives blamed me for his death and called me curse but bhai was there with me , he never allowed anyone to raise their fingers against me but now he is not even bothered about me . After death ma was very depressed to make her happy I used pull pranks on her or do naughty things so that i can see her smile nevertheless all my efforts were against me only. They thought I am becoming naughty and joined here , I pleaded them a lot . They did not even know I have nightmares of papa's death . In night in hostel I used cry but the warden beat me brutally so I stopped sleeping.

Jai: you have a brother?

Sid : yep , he says I am his life but now I think he is busy in his life not bothering about me, his life.

(A/n : don't get confused in the above dialogue its meaning is you are referring someone your life but not caring about them because you are busy in your own life.)

Jai could not bear this much he was also sobbing , thinking how much that innocent heart has taken . For then onwards he became overprotective , he tried to divert Sid mind by introducing books to him. He made him study as Sid used to hate studies.
